Kishi's POV

"COME AT ME WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT!" Midoriya screamed out.

Midoriya...

Todoroki seemed angered now, charging toward him, albeit slower.

I don't think I've ever seen either of them be this...angry. But both of them are slower down.

Once Todoroki got close, Midoriya landed a hard punch to the guts, causing Todoroki to fly across the concrete. Ouch.

"A solid hit! We're finally getting some action!" Present Mic cheered.

They started getting into more of a close-quarter fight. Both of their attacks were weaker than before. Midoriya looks so much more beat though...can it even be healed quick enough?

This kept up until all of Midoriya's fingers on his right hand were used twice except for his thumb. Midoriya improvised and used the inner part of his cheek to flick out his thumb, causing Todoroki to slip farther back before stopping at an ice wall. Present Mic was dishing out a lot more commentary.

Midoriya landed another hit on Todoroki's stomach. Todoroki looked strangely...in thought? Distracted? Whatever the case, he was refusing to use the fire side of his quirk. I noticed Endeavor staring disapprovingly in the stands. His past is really affecting him right now. Midoriya isn't giving up either. This is how bad his father abused him?

Suddenly, Midoriya screamed out at him. "IT'S YOURS! YOU'RE QUIRK, NOT HIS!"

That sparked something in Todoroki, literally. He burst into flame right then and there, melting off the frostbite that had held him back.

Wow...

I smile.

Midoriya...you were trying to save Todoroki from his past, weren't you?

My thoughts were interrupted by a loud scream. "SHOTOOO!"

Endeavor? I deadpanned.

"Have you finally gotten out of that childish rebellion?!" Endeavor shouted. "Good, good! This is the dawn of a new era for me and you! With my quirk, you will surpass me, and fulfill the reason I have created you for!"

Needless to say, I now see Endeavor in a new light. And boy, it wasn't pretty.

"Endeavor suddenly shouts encouragement...?" Present Mic questioned. "What a doting father."

The two on the battlefield exchanged some words before Todoroki started spewing out both ice and fire. Ice waves flew at Midoriya, who was dodging them are moving closer to Todoroki.

Cementoss started hurriedly building cement walls to block the incoming force coming from both of them, as Midnight tried using her quirk on them. But it was too late.

The two caused a giant explosion as their attacks clashed, breaking the cement walls that sprouted from the ground. Shit! Someone's bound to get hurt!

As a heavy wind shook the arena, I did my best to use my quirk to control the wind pressure around the area, as it looked like some other pros and my dad were attempting to do.

As the dust cleared a bit, my classmates saw me standing in front of them, heavily breathing. "Th...thank...me...later," I panted, tilting a bit.

Uraraka leaped up to catch me, setting me down in my seat. "You really saved us from being blown away," she chuckled.
