I looked up to Kirishima, who was grinning. "I know you'll do great. Do your best, 'kay? Give me a manly fight."
My eyes widen. I didn't really expect him to say that. I nodded back to him after a few seconds. "I...I will."
"Match seven, start!" Present Mic gave us the signal.
Kirishima activated his quirk and started charging toward me. I got into a stable stance and stared directly at him, making eye contact as my eyes started to glow. Stay calm.

I released a beam toward Kirishima, stunting him as he shielded and rubbed his eyes, deactivating his quirk. Now's my chance! I make myself faster by bending light and pushed him by the back toward the boundary line.
"Wow! Hoshiko takes charge! Will this match be too easy for her?" Present Mic wonders.
However, Kirishima had different plans in store.
He easily turned in my weak grip and punched my cheek. "Sorry!" He quickly says, before trying to engage in combat with me. Crap, if I do close combat with him, I'm done for!
"Woah! Hoshiko slipped up and seems to be engaging in combat with Kirishima!" Present Mic comments.
My mind started to go into a little panic attack as I dodged him as best as I could, him hitting me a few times as we got closer to the boundaries. Quick! You have to get away from him!
I react on instinct and escape him once I found an opening in his movements, jumping behind him and leaving a hologram decoy in my place. I make the decoy disappear after a bit and watched him turn in confusion. When he saw and charged toward me I made an illusional wall before him.
He couldn't see me as a laser beam hit his eyes, blinding him again. I push him out of the ring even faster than I had ever attempted before while he was still blinded. I stand inside the ring, heavily breathing as Kirishima regained his senses, blinking a bit in shock.
"Kirishima is out of bounds. Hoshiko advances to the second round!" Midnight exclaims.
As I panted, I noticed Kirishima hang his head down. He must be sad about losing...I should thank him about what he said to cheer him up, I decided.
