Someone You Loved

The warm morning sunlight danced through the exposed windows capturing my attention.

I got up and went downstairs where the most beautiful piano piece could be heard playing throughout the house. The song awoke a strange nostalgic feeling inside of me. Kind of like a way of telling me that this is where I belong.

I wondered through the house wearing nothing but one of Michelle’s t-shirts and underwear. The sunlight dances all along the inside of the house giving the white walls a yellow tone and the house a peaceful feeling. The music stopped for a second but then started again. This time playing someone you loved by Lewis Capaldi. Which is by the way one of my favourite songs.

I danced along the sound all the way to where I found Michelle sitting in a huge open room with nothing but a black piano in the middle of it. Sunlight danced in from all directions making in one of the most beautiful places in the whole room.

The music hasn’t stopped. Michelle was still sitting there playing this beautiful song. The sunlight falling on her body gave her a glowing look. She was wearing a blue silk robe. Her hair in a messy braid on the side.

I couldn’t keep my eyes off of this beautiful human in front of me. She looked angelic. I could stare at her for hours. I thought and leaned against where I thought the doorframe was. I was wrong and I fell onto the ground. As soon as my face hit the ground the music stopped and I heard a gasp coming from the piano.

I got up and walked over to her like I didn’t just fall like a complete idiot. She scooted to the side and made space for me to sit. And I did. I sat next to her as she started playing again. I wanted to get her attention back to me so I hit all the wrong notes on purpose.  This earned me a grin from her and a tickle attack which I was not prepared for.

After laughing for what felt like two hours she finally let go of my sides and I sat up for and placed my hands gracefully on the piano and started playing ‘Someone you loved’ again. Michelle joined in and she kept on hitting the notes where my hands was. I played along and we ended up messing around.

The piano tiles were hit heavily as Michelle hit them. She was trying to get my attention and it worked. I punched her playfully laughing once more with this gorgeous woman next to me.

“You’re so beautiful.” I whispered underneath my breath. From where I was sitting those beautiful ocean pools were filled with light being reflected into them and they looked even more beautiful. I couldn’t help myself. I had to kiss this woman. At least once more. She leaned in and captured my lips in hers. She tasted like strawberries in the summer. Her natural sweet vanilla aroma filled my nostrils and I felt like I was spellbound by this woman.

She released my lips a little too soon and I leaned in for another one but she turned her head away and smiled. With that I just laid my head on her shoulders and she started playing ‘Halo by Beyoncé’ instead. I just sat there watching this masterpiece at work.

I laughed a little to myself and cover her eyes which made her burst into laughter and I swear I heard angels singing when she laughed. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her. Her eyes, the way the golden sun made her glow. She looked so… angelic. And perfect in every aspect of the word.

I let my hand fall onto her back and continued playing the song with my hand on her back. She smiled and then lifted her bum a little and shoved me playfully which earned her a laugh
