1 what inspired the idea of your story?
I was in a very low point in my life, and in one gloomy summer night the thought that I've never been to prom and the reasons of it, plus that I'll never get to know how it feels like, were going around my head in circles and then the thought that I've only studied and I have never done anything fun closely followed it and then boom! The idea of the story was born.
2 what was something you struggled with for your story?
The character development of all my characters other than my protagonist.
3 what has been the overall response to your story from your readers?
Honestly, so far there has been strictly two types of responses. Either they love it from the first chapter or they say the pace is not fast enough.
4 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?
My protagonist's inner thoughts.
5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series?
First I wanted it to be a stand alone, but then when I decided how it's going to end, I thought of writing a sequel for it too. But in the end, I'm just going to see if my readers want to read more about these characters or not.
6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?
The impact our words have on one another and how deeply they might affect someone. And also, even if you're in a low point in life, always give yourself a chance to heal and grow over it.
7 what's a piece of advice you would provide to another writer, when it comes to focusing on their story?
Not everyone is going to like the story you write, and as a writer, you should never let that get to you and discourage you.
8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?
My main character is basically inspired from myself.
9 what's something you believe would draw in new readers?
A good cover and blurb, plus a promising and strong first chapter.
10 do you have any future projects?
Yes! The moment I finish writing Acumen I'll start uploading the first book of a fantasy-vampire novel series called Fantasies Blown away which I've had in mind for more than five years.
