Faith's POV:

I slam my hand on my alarm clock as it blares in my ears. I rub my eyes and kick my feet over the edge. I rub my eyes and look around my room. It's been a while since I've waken up in my own room.

"Good Morning starshine," My dad says walking into my room, "Rember-"

"I know, take a break from my usual friend group," I groan. He nods and sits next to me on the bed.

"Reach out Faith, you're a likable person you'll be fine," he says rubbing my shoulder.

"I know dad I'll be great," I huff, rubbing my eyes. He nods and walks out of the room.

"Do you want me to make you a coffee or will you just pick one up?" he asks, stopping in the doorway.

"I'll just pick one up," I say yawning. He nods again and walks down the short hall.

My dad said to be friends with the other soccer players, but if I do that they'll ask about me and Bailey not talking and I really don't want to talk about that right now. Do I want to be friends with nerds or geeks? Not really. Do I like cheerleaders?" Also a no, but I'd rather be friends with them than smart kids. Now time to choose my outfit, to try and fit in with the cheerleaders I guess.

I end up with a loose white, cropped, tank top with small, yellow flowers, and black high-waisted jeans. I finish curling my hair and spray a little bit of hairspray. I smile at myself and walk back to my room. I pull on my black and white checkered Vans slides and look at myself in the mirror. I sling my backpack over my shoulder and hops down the stairs.

"Bye sweetie," my dad says as I grab the key. I wave and force a smile.

I pull myself into my truck and pull my phone out from my pocket. 13 unread messages. My phone reads. I open the messages and see the messages from Luke. I grit my teeth together and set my phone in the cupholder.

I order my usual from Dunkin Donuts and take a sip. I swerve through cars and pull into the school parking lot. I watch all the people file into the school and I swish my drink around. I take another sip and swing my door open. I unbuckle seatbelt and swing my backpack on.

I hop out of the truck and lock it. I walk into the school and groan at the hot air, fuming off of the people. I spot some of the cheerleaders and force a smile as I walk over to them.

"What do you want?"Anna, the cheer captain asks, looking at me judgmentally.

"Oh nothing I just thought I'd try to roll with a different crowd," I say, shrugging.

"Whatever," She scoffs, rolling her eyes. I lean my back against the lockers and fold my arms. I begin to look to the doors when a tall, blondè girl appears in front of me. I jump a little and then laugh.

"Sorry if I scared you," She says pushing some hair behind her ears. I shrug and smile. "Uh, I'm Brooklyn!" She chimes. She sticks her hand out to shake and I do so.

"I'm Faith," I respond.

"I know Anna can seem like a total bitch, and believe me she can be, but you can just hang out with me," She says proudly.

"Sounds great," I laugh. My eyes are redirected to the doors as Michael, Luke, and Calum walk in. I feel a lump in my throat and scratch my neck. I look to the floor as the last me and eavesdrop in on the conversation.

"Why isn't she texting any of us back?" Luke asks in a panic. I look up at him as he heads into the math room. The bell rings and I look over to Brooklyn.

"What class do you have!" I ask, heading towards math.

"Science," she groans.

"That sucks," I giggle, "I have math."
