The sun begins to set under the pale blue Australian water. A group of six in a circle, school finally over, summer beginning, and a hell of a future to go.

"Guys at the beginning of the year Faith and I swore we would never hangout with you guys just because you are so stupid," Bailey laughs, throwing her head back against her curly haired boyfriends shoulder.

"I swear one look at Luke and I would barf," Faith agrees, shifting.

"Barely changed, you guys hate each other now for different reasons," Michael scoffs, brushing a hand through his freshly dyed galaxy hair "in celebration of summer." Bailey had taken it upon herself to call the boy Twilight Sparkle.

The two mentioned give each other a glance, the same words running through their heads. If only they knew.

"One day we'll be doing this, but we'll be watching our children run through the waves," Faith notes to herself, changing the subject.

"If I can find a good woman," Michael cries out as he falls back onto the sand.

"Oh my gosh, Cara was one girl," Bailey laughs as she recalls the Cliffaconda, making her shudder.

"You guys are dumbasses by the way, I found that video in your phone," Faith eyes her best friend.

"What? Video." Calum inputs, distracted by tracing shapes in the sand with a stick he found.

"I haven't even seen that video," Michael recalls, Bailey groans and pulls out her phone, dreading reliving the moment, even though it was one of her favourite nights of the year.

And that's how the group ended up huddling around their phones, recalling their favourite memories.

"Oh my gosh I remember this," Faith scoffs as the clip of Michael inviting the whole math class to a party for Faith.

"That was my best idea," Michael scoffs.

"Are you sure Mike? Getting drunk off your ass and pantsing yourself in front of your ex and telling her she couldn't get the Cliffaconda was a pretty good one," Ashton laughs, making Luke sigh.

"Okay, you guys are weird," Luke stands up and tears his shirt off, before looking at us expectantly.

"You wanna swim?" Faith gives him a jokingly judgy look.

He nods and turns around, walking into the deep blue water, crashing at his feet. Calum joins him moments later, then Faith, then Bailey, and then Ashton.

"Let's go!" Ashton yells jokingly, before running at Bailey, and tackling her into the water, making her squeal.

"Ashton!" She scolds and smacks his arm with a huff. He laughs, throwing his head back as Luke gives Faith an unnoticed wink in the background.

Faith turns her back to him, before looking back over her shoulder, and giving him a wink in return, before dunking Bailey under, who had just barely recovered from Ashton doing a similar thing.

"One second guys," Michael pauses, before bending over, his head dunking under the water for a split second.

He comes up with his shorts and boxers in hand, and the entire friend group groans in unison.

"That's much better," he exhales, balling up his clothes and throwing them on the beach, barely making it on the sand.

"You are disgusting," Luke scoffs.

"Say's the cheater," Michael snarks back, Faith chokes, and her and Luke make eye contact.

"Fucking cock slut," Calum scoffs from the other side of the blond.

Everyone but the butt of the joke and Luke scoffs, crossing his arms.

"I always get harassed by you guys when I hang out with you," Luke crosses his arms and turns around, facing the shore.

Calum starts splashing him and the group messes around in the water for a bit longer before Luke decides to get out, the group filing one by one out of the water, and they all end up in the Hemming's basement once more, in a huddle of blanket. Faith on the couch, then the boys on the ground, and Bailey on the other end of the couch.

The same place where the beginning of the 42 chapters of the school year started.
