~Emma's POV~
I hit the contact name I didn't use as often as I wanted to. I showcase her artwork on my body, but I don't have time to chat with her as friends. The phone rings over and over, and I begin to believe she won't answer. Her voice sudden breaks through, soft and raspy.
"Olivia?" I questioned.
"Hey, Emma! How are you?"
"Uhm, I'd really love to chat, but I need to ask you something."
"Yeah, go ahead," she sounded confused.
"What are your feelings towards Jack?"
"He is my best friend. I love him to death."
"Olivia," I sighed, "what are your real feelings towards Jack?"
"Emma, why does this matter?"
"I noticed something in him. Something I've never seen him do before out of all the times I've partied with him. Everyone knows he drinks a tremendous amount and hooks up with girls all the time, but he's starting to drink much more now. It's not just during parties-before sound check, after the show, when he wakes up, when he goes to sleep. When he hooks up with those girls, he calls all of them the same thing an-"
"What does he call them?" she frantically whispered.
"He calls them Olivia."
A heavy silence fell over both ends of the phone. Chipped sidewalk and old cinders softly crunched under my boots as I kept walking. The wind chilled through my jacket, but I preferred the chill of the outdoors than the sweltering heat of the hotel. A sharp inhale across the line makes me speak up.
"Olivia, are you okay?"
She slowly answered, "Yes, I'm ok. I just miss him."
"Come out and see him. Please," I begged. "He must be extremely lonely. How empty must someone be to fill themselves with that much alcohol?"
"Oh my god," she cried harder. "Will you tell Alex I'm flying out tonight?"
I could hear her over the line opening and closing doors, zipping up bags, throwing things softly.
"How long are you staying for?" I ask her.
"As long as he needs me," Olivia sniffled.
"Why are you so willing to drop everything for him?" I questioned.
"I love him, Emma. He showed me this lifestyle I had never experienced, and people I had never met, and he showed me what love was. Jack needs me right now, and no matter what I'm going to be there."
"He loves you, Olivia. I know he likes to play up the idea of him not needing anyone, but something's changed in him. He won't admit it," I whisper. "I'm back at the hotel. I'll tell Alex you're coming. Just text me because I'll pick you up at the airport."
"Thank you, Emma."
"Save him, Olivia. You're his hope."

~Olivia's POV~
I couldn't sleep on the flight. I tried and tried, but my mind wandered off to Jack and all I wanted was to be wherever he was. My best friend needed me, but not as much as I needed him. That flight made me realize that I loved him as more than a friend, but it would never work. The only thing I could do was be here for him.
I walked through the large facility, looking for Alex and Emma. My black suitcase rolled behind me, hitting every little bump in the floor. My carry-on was slung across my body and moved with my hip.
People stared at me as I walked through the airport. It was not because of my gray Nirvana t-shirt, or black jeans. The tattoos covering my arms attracted the eyes of people. I began to walk faster when I noticed their staring.
"Olivia!"
I looked over to see Emma, Alex, Zack, and Emily. I walked over to them and Alex immediately pulled me into a hug. My arms wrapped around his waist and I squeezed him.
"It's been a long time," he whispered, and I never thought I'd miss someone's voice that much.
He let go and picked up my suitcase. I hugged everyone else, and Zack took my carry-on from me.
"You just keep getting bigger and bigger," I laugh, squeezing Zack's bicep.
He chuckles and pulls me into another hug, "I've missed you, Olivia. We all have. Jack really needs you."
I smiled at Zack, and we continue walking through the airport. The hotel is two streets over from the airport, so we walked there. The five minutes it took to walk there was filled with jokes and laughter. Once we came to the lobby of the hotel, my heart started racing.
"Follow me, Olivia," Alex said.
I followed him to the fourth floor, room 457. My jacket was strewn onto the floor next to my suitcase. Alex nudged me with his elbow, and I slowly brought up a fist to knock on the door.
"Alex," Jack groaned, "go away. This hangover is a fucking bitch. I don't need you babying me."
"But dude, I've got a huge surprise!" Alex looked at me mischievously.
"Fine," Jack took awhile to stumble to the door. "What i-"
Before Jack could finish his sentence I jumped into his arms. He pulled me against his body and walked backwards into the room. I couldn't help but cry of happiness.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he said.
"To see you," I laughed.
"I missed you so much," his voice quavered, and for the first time in my life-I saw Jack Barakat cry.
