Emos POV
I stood in the doorway unable to move. Emily stood behind me with a hand over her mouth in horror. Everything in the room was burned or thrown to the sides and shattered. How I didn't hear them being destroyed i'll never know. Orion sat in the middle of the room on the floor looking at his hands.
"Ry?" I ask softly.
"What am I?" he whispered.
I carefully walked towards him.
"What do you mean?"
"WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!" he yelled scaring the crap out me. I jumped back but tripped and ended up landing on my rear.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
"It's alright." I said crawling towards him. I grabbed him and pulled him to my chest. He started to cry.
"Shh. It's alright." I said softly rubbing his back.
"Is that how you felt." he asked.
"Yes" I answered already knowing what he was referring to.
We sat like that for a few minutes until I looked up at Emily who gave a look that said she needed to tell me something. I got up and walked towards her.
"Where are you boys going to stay? My apartment is way to small to house us all."
I looked at her then to Orion then back to her.
"I feel like we should stay here. Orion loved this house and I think you should move in with us."
"I couldn't move in with you boys. It's to far from the hospital but I will check up on you boys when I can." She said smiling.
"Alright. Here. Give me your hands. " I said.
She put her hands palm up in front of me. I narrowed my eyes and focused. The black smoke from before returned and swam in Emily palms. I willed to take shape and with a grunt two small flip phones spawned from the smoke and dropped into Emily's hands. She looked at me stunned.
"H..how?" she said.
I rubbed my temples trying to dull the slight headache I had.
"Shadowsmith." I said.
"I can create anything out of darkness or shadows." I explained.
"Do you know all of your powers?"
"Mostly."
"Well I better shove off I have work tomorrow and its getting pretty late."
I turned and looked out the window to the setting sun.
"But don't worry I'll come back after work and we can go out on the town." She said as she grabbed her keys and walked out the door.
"Come on buddy. Bed time." I told Orion. He stood up and walked with me upstairs. I walked into the bathroom and put my hand on the shower head. I focused and water started to come from the head. Orion showered first then me.
He wore pair of my old pjs and I was just in my boxers. That night we slept in our parents room. Orion was already fast asleep while I stared my parents wedding photo that hung on the wall at the foot of the bed. My father in his all white tux and mother in her beautiful dress. I fell asleep knowing my parents were somewhere out there watching over us.
