Emo's POV
(1/2 hour earlier)
I screamed and screamed hoping someone,anyone,will hear me. He had moved from cutting across my face to above my right eyebrow, down, and ended just under my eye. He repeated cutting the line.
"Freeze! Police!" I heard a different voice command from another room. In a second, he had switched his knife for a gun he had in his belt and had it against my chest, the barrel pointed at my heart. About six cops came rushing into the room. "Put him down." one ordered. All he did was smile and the rest was a blur. I remember the sound of gunshots, a sharp pain in my chest, and him dropping me. An officer ran over to me and put his hands on my chest. "Stay with me son." he pleaded. It soon got hard for me to breath, my breathe came in and out as wheezes. My vision kept fading in and out of focus. The officer who was helping me lifted me onto something and I was wheeled out of the house. I turned my head to catch a glimpse of Orion getting out of a cop car and running towards me.
Orion's POV
I jumped out of the police car and ran as fast as my legs would carry me towards Emo. They put him in the back of the ambulance and were about to close the door. "WAIT!!" I yelled. The paramedic looked at me. "Are you Orion?" "Yes!" I answered frantically. The medic nodded and and helped me into the ambulance. While driving to the nearest hospital I grabbed Emo's hand as if I let go I'd lose my brother. "Orion" he said weakly. "I'm here Emo." He just smiled and said "I love you." " I know. I know" I replied as tears stream
down my face.
We finally arrived and Emo was wheeled away as I was lead to another room for a well needed check up. After the check up I was then led to Emo's room. I thanked the nurse and looked through the glass window. I couldn't go inside because they were doing surgery. I looked at Emo's face and was instantly saddened. He had bandages rapped around his head, face, and one of his eyes. 'That'll scar' I thought. The doctors inside started to move frantically and say things I didn't understand to each other. I was a bit worried but just brushed it off. That was short lived when I heard the sound that will haunt me forever.
