Emo's POV
I slowly opened my eyes.
'What the heck happened?' I thought
I groaned and sat up.
'When did get in this bed?'
"Oh! Your awake." Said a familiar voice.
I looked to my left to see a pretty nurse with curly brown hair.
"Where's my brother?" I croaked out since I just woke up.
"He went to the bathroom." She said
"Are you...um?" I said snapping my fingers trying to remember.
"Emily?" I heard of voice ask.
I turned my head to look out the doorway leading to the hallway of the hospital. Orion stood in it with the book in hand. He smirked at me.
"Hey sleeping beauty. How you feeling?" He said.
"Fine." I replied
"I'll leave you two alone. But this time no running around the hospital and getting ourselves knocked unconscious." Emily said sternly.
"Ok." we both said innocently.
She smiled and left the room.
"Knocked unconscious?"
I asked
"We can't tell her you where running to find a magic book our dead parents gave you and then your eyes changed color and you passed out." Orion said.
I looked down at myself thinking about how Orion can say 'dead parents' so lightly.
"Oh but the book did do something weird." He said suddenly after a few moments of silence.
He lifted the book from its place on the side table next to my bed and handed it to me.
"It glowed after we had brought you here and everyone left."
I quirked an eyebrow at him but opened it anyways.
There was a silver ribbon bookmark so I flipped to that page.
The page read:

I stared at the page for a second taking in this information.
"What's it say?" Orion asked.
I flipped the book around to show him the page.
"It's blank." he said
I flipped it back around. The words still clearly there, scrawled on the page with average handwriting.
"You don't see it?" I ask him.
He slowly shook his head.
"Hmm..weird." I say.
"What's weird?" said a voice that made us both jump. We turned to see Emily in the doorway with to trays in hand.
Orion laughed nervously
"Um..hehe...n.nothings weird here. I..I have no ide-"
"This books blank. That's all." I said cutting off my brother who's cheeks were a light pink.
"Oh..alright." She said unsure. She walked to the foot of the bed and set a tray down on my lap and handed the other to Orion.
"You better eat up if we are goin to your house tomorrow." She said as she walked out the door.
"What is she-"
"I asked her to drive us to the house tomorrow."
Orion said cutting me off this time.
"I want to get clothes and stuff." He said pulling on the collar of the torn up shirt he wore and pointing to my hospital gown I wore since my shirt was cut off during the surgery.
"Fine." I said
"But start eating before I eat it."
This food might have been the best food I've eaten in 5 years since he would only feed us bread, water, and old leftovers either on the verge of expiration or a month overdue.
Later I settled down in my hospital bed and Orion took the extra one next to me. That night i dreamed of tomorrow and the eternity after that.
