Emotional

Chp 1.

The boy sat in the dark. Alone and afraid. He was sitting in the corner of the empty room with his knees to his chest crying soundlessly. He heard the creak of the door and started to panic. 'It's him! IT'S HIM!!!' he yelled internally. He kept his head low, squeezed his eyes shut, and bit his lip to keep himself from crying since he knew what 'punishment' was in store for him. A figure entered and got closer, reaching out slowly towards the boy. All the boy could do was sit and hope it was over quickly. The boy flinched as he felt a hand touch his shoulder. "You alright Ry?" asked a quiet voice. The boy's head flew up to see another male in his teens looking back at him with soft, caring eyes.

"Emo!" he whispered. He jumped up and wrapped his arms around the other male in a hug. "Hello to you too Orion" Emo chuckled. Orion let go of his big brother and sat back down in his corner. He had a small smile on his face that Emo hasn't seen for awhile.

It soon faded into a frown as Orion noticed something on Emo's tattered shirt. "What's wrong?" Emo questioned while cocking an eyebrow. "Your bleeding." Orion replied concern clear in his voice. Emo looked down to see a tear on his sleeve and under it was a small but deep cut in his pale skin. "It's nothing." he said nonchalantly. Orion looked at him with worried filled eyes. " I'm fine little brother. Trust me." Emo said trying to reassure his sibling. "Alright if you say so." Concern returning to his voice. Just then there was a sound of heavy footsteps outside the doorway. Emo's brown eyes went wide. " Oh no!" he whispered. "Get behind me!" he commanded. Orion scrambled behind him as told. The door swung open flooding the room in light blinding the two boys for a second. A figure stood in the doorway and started to stomp towards them. He stopped a foot away from the siblings. "Move." it hissed. "No." Emo replied quietly. "What!" "I said no" Emo repeated but this time louder and sterner. The figure growled in anger and tried lunging and grabbing Orion only to be blocked by Orion's elder brother. He was enraged now. He grabbed Emo by his shirt collar and lifted him off the ground a good six inches. He squirmed in the man's grasp. " You want to disobey the one who brought you into his home!" He yelled in Emo's face. " The one who didn't just kill you like I killed my own brother! The one who-" "The one who murders children's parents in front of them then kidnapps, mistreats, beats, and rapes them." Emo interrupted. The man punched Emo in the stomach and dropped him. Orion sat and watched as his brother was beaten to a pulp.
