The Finale (2/2)

Rubie stunned and grunted as she tried to get up from the ground, but it was impossible. Robert had completely knocked the air out of her and left her by the almost broken-down wall, only to start marching towards us, cracking his knuckles as each of his stomps made the ground shake.

"Robert!" yelled Janice from the opening in the wall behind us and ran towards him wielding a sword and a large knife and started swinging around her weapons like a maniac, hitting him once or twice on both of his forearms.

"Take the building down!" said Rubie with a hoarse voice as she tried to get up from the ground and signaled the teen that had the ability to make the ground shake, to take the building down on Robert. The boy put his hands on the floor of the prison and made the entire building shake and crumble within minutes.

"Janice! Come on!" I yelled as the building started falling apart right around them, but Janice was way in over her head and was there to kill the guard that nearly killed her. "Janice, come on!" I yelled once more, but she didn't listen.

"Janice heads up!" finally yelled James coming from the large battle by the main entrance and used his ability to keep Robert in place as Janice finally got a clear hit on Robert, maiming him before she jumped out of the way as the building kept falling apart.

"Keep running you guys! Follow the soldiers back to a safe place where you will stay hidden" yelled Rubie as she finally got to breathe again and further encouraged the kids and teens to follow Chad's soldiers to the underground base.

"We all need to help them!" yelled James as he threw himself into the sky, landing right into the battlefield outside the prison using his ability. Rubie and Janice ran as fast as they could and stumbled onto some of the robotic guards, while I reached my arms down to the ground to lift myself across the sky and land just beside James and fired onto some of the guards that seemed more threatening than the others.

I looked across the battlefield to where Chad stayed behind and ran off to the sideline, not realizing that he was followed by a robotic guard.

"Chad!" I yelled as I boosted myself from the ground and up into the air to where I flew again to catch up to him, but he didn't hear any of my shouting and yelling for him to pay stop.

Chad got down on his knees and hugged a little girl that had ran up to him, just before the robotic guard jumped and came down with a large punch that shook the ground around them. "Chad!" I yelled once more as both him and the little sister looked defeated on the ground, just before the loud bang! Echoed across the field and Chad fell to the ground in front of the little girl.

"No!" I yelled once I hit the ground and lit up the robotic guard with all my might, melting whatever metal the armor was made of. The guard screamed in pain as the metal melted around him, when I looked around to see the barely alive body of Chad.

"You need to run!" I yelled at the little girl before she started running away with tearful eyes and blood on her hands.

I continued to fly around until the battle abruptly ended when the entire prison fell apart, only leaving a cloud of smoke and a handful of robotic guards left.

"Phoenix!" yelled Crystal as three of the robotic guards marched towards her. I flew down right by her and held my hands up as the three guards torched me with their flame throwers, though it didn't take long before I got help from James, Rubie and Janice that tore the last robotic guard when I was pinned down.

The battle seemed even, many of our men was pinned down, but so were theirs. It didn't take long before I felt she sharp pain of ice hitting my back, sending my flying across the battlefield.
