I scrolled through my phone, reading Ariadne's latest message.

Ariadne: Target in a blue suit and red checkered tie. I'll be wearing a black backless dress with stilettos. Take home to the top floor. Cause of death: intoxication before walking off the roof.

I rolled my eyes before typing, Is this info supposed to be on a text message?

Ariadne: 🤐 I hope u brought ur twin daggers. The man's a trafficker.

My eyes darkened as I replied a yup before putting it away. I thought about all the ways I could have fun with him before his accidental death.

Before I knew it, the limo parked and all of us walked out of it. I felt Hunter coming behind me and I resisted the urge to shiver. Though the feeling was blown away once I took a look at the host building. The house looked like a modern-day skyscraper. It had a ton of floors, all of them so bright, you could see every individual person inside.

Glancing at Skylar and Devin, they were talking to the boys and my guardians. It looked as if they were nervous and I saw Skylars and shift a little bit to hardly reveal a remarkable dagger.

Looks like someone has the same target as me.

I messaged Ariadne about the situation before walking into the building, leaving the boys behind. I needed to finish this before anything bad happened.

The party was in full swing. The drinks were constantly rippling, the music was blasting, and every single person looked like a model out of the magazines.

I moved swiftly through the crowd, looking for Ariadne. I found her sitting on the bar stool with a drink in her hand.

Walking up to her, I plopped down in the seat on the right side.

"Been too long, Aria," I said while playing with my ring, "how have you been?"

She slowly looked at me, "Oh, my goddess! I knew you should've worn thigh slits! You look like a goddess!"

I scrunched my nose in displeasure, "I'd rather not."

"So formal," she muttered and I gave her a playful shove.

Our demeanor instantly became cold as we both spotted Valentino Russo slip into the crowd. For some reason, my mind replayed the 'Get Help' scene from Thor Ragnorak and I barely contained a smile.

"Damsel in distress," Aria questioned, "or knight in shining armor?"

I glanced at Mr. Russo before answering her, "Damsel in Distress."

We split up, I going to Mr. Russo for a drink, and Aria following us undercover. I slipped behind a couple of people and just stood there with a slightly pouty face. I scanned the crowd to see where our target would be when my eyes landed on a familiar face. She made her way towards me. I rolled my eyes before taking a step towards her.

"Funny seeing you here, Bethany," I sneered, "Shouldn't you be running away."

Her eyes flashed with anger before she replied, "Actually, HUnter may or may not have kept me as your bodyguard. You, being all-knowing, should know exactly why."
