❛Pity the thinkers, for they are cursed with their own imagination.❜

I pinched the bridge of my nose as Ariadne landed another punch.
"Where did you sell your last batch of girls," she spat.
Beth stood where she was and watched in amusement as Russo kept his mouth shut, only opening it to spit out blood.
"We aren't going anywhere with this," I said.
"Yeah, and Hunter's going to start looking for Russo in...two minutes," Bethany pointed out after checking her watch, "We better hurry."
I sighed before signaling Aria to move. She got up and wiped the blood off her knuckled with the bedsheets. I sat on the chair and took out my twin daggers, placing them in one hand while running my knuckles on the side of his face with the other. He leaned as far back as he could.
"Oh Russo," I whispered angelically, "I have no use for you. I can get the information that you're hiding in the snap of my fingers. But I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself by telling us where the shipment is. Or, you'll be added to the list of kills my dagger has made."
He whimpered and let out a puff of air. I cocked my head and slid my hand underneath my dress, taking out a gold-colored syringe.
"This is a severe version of the cold," I said while circling him, "and there is no known antidote that can help you except mine."
I brought out a bottle with silver coloring inside it.
"Wait," he whispered, "Can I know who are you guys before I die?"
I chuckled darkly before gripping his shoulders from behind and whispering in his ear, making sure Bethany couldn't hear, "You've become quite the enemy of the Mafia Espionage Service, Mr. Russo. Would you like to know who I am?"
After a moment's hesitation, he nodded, and I answered, "The boss."
Once I got up and placed the antidote gently on the table, I whirled around and injected his neck with the gold liquid.
In reality, that syringe was filled with molten gold. It didn't feel hot because of the Thompson Effect and the way it spread throughout the body was catastrophic. Because our blood's primary reason to exist is to transfer oxygen, when gold is mixed into the blood, it prevents the blood cell to absorb oxygen, which can kill a person in around 2 minutes.
"You look quite pale, darling. Your 2 minutes to live may have been shortened down," I whispered in his ear, "I would start talking."
I walked over to Bethany and Ariadne, who had slightly turned around.
"Do you think he'll crack," Aria asked, "I mean, that's the first time we've used molten gold."
Bethany snorted, "If he doesn't crack, his mind will, and then you guys can search through files to find info like you normally do."
