If I've learned anything from video games, it is that when you meet enemies, it means you're going in the right direction.

"Testing, 1 2 3. Hellooooo? Mineral, can you hear me?"

I massaged my head, trying to reduce that constant headache.

"Mineral, I swear if you left me hanging, I will kill you!"

And there it is again.

"No Hunter," I replied slowly, "I did not leave you. And my name is Minerva, not Mineral!"

I heard him say something fuzzy on the com before disappearing off the grid.

Dang, I love those signal tappers.

I waited for a few seconds before getting up from behind the desk and heading towards the book self. My hand glided down the spines of the books and my right hand leaned against the frame. I searched lower and lower before my hand felt a button against the woodwork of the elegant bookshelf.

I smiled and clicked it before taking "Becoming Bulletproof" out. I got up and kept in on the desk before turning around and sprinting to the files that had been uncovered.

It was easier to lie that way; I had read the book more times than I could count, and it was simply amazing.

My hands shuffled through the files until I found the two I wanted.

The Red File

Minerva Abbott

I took my phone out and scanned the documents in the Red file before keeping it back and briefly reading the file about me and shutting it before briskly walking out of the room.

Once I made sure all the cameras were on a loop, I ran up to my room and print a copy of my file, placing it in one of the drawers under the bed.

I walked down before hearing Hunter's constant yapping yelling at me to respond.

"Shit," I muttered as I ran down the stairs into the study, "I was eating, don't kill me."

My brain snorted, Yeah, eating information.

I didn't bother a reply and unmute the computer right before I stubbed my toe.

"Shit, fucking hell," I cried, "Stupid chair!"

"Shouldn't I be saying that Mineral?"
