S A N A

I leaned against the brick wall in front of Tzuyu's school, and I had made sure that the paparazzi weren't following me.

Soon enough, the hundreds of tired and agitated college students flooded out of the glass building, and I looked eagerly for Tzuyu. I had thought it'd be easier to spot her, but amongst the crowd of extremely tall rugby and basketball enthusiasts, it wasn't so easy.

Not to mention that I hadn't realised she had already passed me.

By the time I noticed, she was already getting into her car, and about to drive off. It's good that I wasn't in heels today, and I quickly dashed over in front of the bumper.

"CHOU TZUYU I ORDER YOU TO STOP!"

"Sana?!"

*****

Here we were, sat in a cozy diner, with two soft drinks in front of us and some chocolate cake that Tzuyu and I had ordered.

"This is nice." I smiled, noticing the ever-so-slight grimace on Tzuyu's face. "It's good to see you-"

"Cut the bull, Sana. Why were you waiting for me?"

"Cutting right to the chase, I see." I coughed and leaned on the table. "Look, Tzu, I just wanna say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gone out with Areum, and I definitely should not have jumped to stupid conclusions."

"Conclusions?"

I sighed. "I thought you were ignoring me, but it turns out your phone was broken. Seems like Minsoo was right."

She only nodded, and took a sip from her straw. I looked on, and she seemed to be drinking to ignore me.

"Tzu, just tell me why you won't talk to me."

"There's a billion reasons, Sana. Should I start?"

"Go on." I answered mockingly. "It's probably something stupid."

Turns out she didn't think it was mockingly.

If I made a list, all the trees in the world would have been used up. However, I will only list the top five (out of hundreds).

1. "I'm too busy with college, and I'm going to University in due time."

2. "You went out with Areum because you wanted revenge or something."

3. "You have a fiancé, for gods sake!"

4. "Your father hates my guts, and I hate his AND yours."

5. "There's no way in hell we would be able to live a good life together. So it might as well end here."

I coughed and started sipping from my drink, because the silence was awkward and heavy after that.

I took a deep breath in and looked up at the girl I had made my mind up about.

"I love you, Chou Tzuyu. I love you so much. I'm so sorry for these past few weeks, and trust me, I feel like a complete dickhead." I told her. "It's fine if you don't forgive me, but if you ever do, you know where to find me."

"Yeah." She blankly stared ahead, and I began to clean up my things.

After folding my napkin, I stood up and placed a bill on the table.

"Thanks for joining me today at least." I smiled at her and walked off.

A part of me wanted to turn around and stay with her but....She seemed real mad at me, and I felt like the best thing to do was give her space.

I watched as she walked out of the diner, and I hoped she would turn around and do something, but she didn't.

"What's up with you and Zaki?" Nayeon slid her butt on the red cushy retro chair. "Did the talk not go well?"

I looked up as if to tell her, does it look like it went well?

"Guessed it wouldn't." She laughed. "That's why I'm here to make your day better."

"I don't want to-"

"Come on, Tzu." She groaned, stretching her arm across the silver disco table. "Karaoke and drinks sound good today. After all, it's Areum's birthday tomorrow."

I sighed and slapped Unnie's hand off the table. "I know it is. I don't feel like drinking tonight."

Nayeon grabbed a cloth from her back pocket and began wiping the table. "I'm not taking no as an answer. Once I finish my shift, you bet my ass that I'm taking you to that Karaoke."

"You wouldn't-"

"And the whole gang is gonna be there too. Helping you forget about Zaki and your dramatic ass relationship."

I broke into a small grin. "That sounds good then."

"I knew it would." She chuckled, and saw me looking at her employee badge. "Okay, this is a just temporary job for spare cash before I go back."

"Thought it would be." I noted, and stood up. "I'll be waiting in the staff room them."

"Will do."

Tonight was going to be fine.

It was time to move on anyways.
