acceptance

it took me a while to realize
i'm more than meets the eye
i have a lot to offer
beyond my looks and style
i found that i am quite unique
i can't always relate
to trends and fads
and magazine ads
i'm nowhere near the same
it takes some heavy introspecting
and constant reassurance
to help myself remember
that i'm fine and DO have worth
so when you look outside your window
and feel that sting inside
remember why it is you're worth it
and most of all, have pride!
