I did my usual morning routine despite my desire to just stay in bed all day.
The warm covers engulfing my body were so magnetic. I could toss and turn across the bed, and I would get the lovely feeling of being safe. Being safe as in away from responsibilities and routines. It's kind of funny though, because when you're happy, duties seem to just be hindrances. If you're upset or going through something, duties are escape routes to detach from negative vibes. Tasks are tasks. They have to be done. It is not about the feeling, for emotions are temporary, but consequences could be pretty solid and could actually even be irreversible.
It is better to avoid a mistake than to figure out how to correct it.
Well, that kind of wanting to just stay in bed all day really happens if you let it. One moment you think you're all good, but then sometimes you would just feel so out of place.
That is normal. That is understandable.
I have realized that you don't really have to be happy one hundred percent (100%) of the time. What matters is that even though there are sad moments in life, you still don't lose sight of your worth. Yes, sometimes you feel sad, but don't let it change the way you view yourself. You are still as magnificent as the stars in the sky. You are worth every ounce of motivation and inspiration.
You are worth it.
To be self-sufficient is incredibly important. The more things you own, the less happiness you have. People tend to cling so tight to temporary things that they lose sight on what really matters. You know, sometimes it's not "what," but "who."
It's you.
Happiness is more than having a good time. It is also the security and stability upon thoroughly knowing yourself. Actually, scratch that.
It's not always about knowing yourself but creating yourself.
Often, we try so hard to know ourselves without realizing that some parts are unfilled not for us to find the missing pieces but for us to decorate it, mold it, or shape it into however we like.
The moment you realize your accountability and responsibility -- how powerful your own principles and values are -- that's when you empower yourself and have a glow so radiant that it shows past within.
Happiness is also satisfaction, so, also work on your goals because while time is infinite, most opportunities knock only once.
Whenever I feel joyful, I believe I make better decisions than usual. I get more creative. Things feel light.
There is this kind of happiness that is felt literally on the head and going over. Indulgence makes happiness to surge throughout the middle part of your body, but bliss makes your soul feel light and to actually light up with contentment.
Satisfaction is not about giving in to temptations, though. When you give in to temptations, you crave them more and no matter how much you delve yourself in, it seems impossible to stop. You always want more, more, and more.
True satisfaction is doing the right thing with confidence, because integrity and dignity paves not always a smooth path, but a definite destination that is self-respect. With it, follows self-love and then acceptance.
To open my eyes was the first decision that I made during the day.
Most of the times, the beginning is always the hardest because it's harder to start than to continue.
When you're already in too deep, sometimes you think as if there'd be no way out, but light always comes through.
You will always come through.
When shifting your energy and making a change in yourself, the first step is the hardest but keep going! The view is beautiful at the top.
It is a law of the universe that what you bring to the world will also be given back to you at some point.
Make sure to invest wisely.
Well, people make mistakes. Sometimes, such mistakes are the ways to totally prevent something from happening ever again. At times, some things have to fall out in order to make a way for something way better than you have ever known.
There is no need to beat yourself up over your mistakes. Face life squarely. To do it, it means to not get so caught up around it.
I know, I know -- such is easier said than done, but hey, there's a possibility that it could be done.
That possibility is within you -- whether or not you make it happen.
Anyway, it is also a universal law that we all have the responsibilities for creation -- that we all have the power to shape, influence, and change so many things about this world and even this world itself.
I got up from the bed and said a quick prayer.
I thanked the Lord for a brand new day.
It was another chance to make the present better than the past. It is the application of learning.
Once humility enters, change comes. Every now and then, I remember the past, but then I just choose to not dwell too much about it.
I focus more on what I could control. Let the past teach you, but do not let it to steal away the beauty of your smile.
Honestly, no matter the season, trusting the Lord makes me feel much better than anything else.
Ever since childhood, I grew up in a family that really taught me to humble myself into prayer. There are mysteries I could not (yet) understand, but what I am sure of is that whenever I face obstacles, it always feels better to have Someone to lean on and to believe in His goodwill than to face things alone.
Oh, and turn obstacles into stepping stones.
You and I -- we might have different beliefs, but what I could most definitely tell you now is this the one that follows:
Love exists so as long as you believe.
