Episode 85: Old Wounds

"Xillien Stratofortress,8:00 P.M"

X sat down in his Hoverchair as he had worked on creating a cure for cancer with his Model X Supercomputer. The telecommunicator began buzzing as he had reached over before pressing the button to answer.

X: Speak now or forever hold your peace!

Bardock: "This was only a test to see if our communication systems are capable of reaching your ship."

X: Ok.

X hangs up before tending back to his work as his robotic servant, Protodroid X-2 walked up to him.

Protodroid X-2: Have you found a cure for cancer yet?

X: I'm still working on it!

"Negative!"

X sighed as he rubbed his temples before shutting the computer monitor off.

X: Damnit!

Protodroid X-2: Have patience X! You will hopefully find a working cure one day!

X: Hopefully that day is soon. I just wished I could help humanity out in another way rather than just be its resident strongman every single day!

Protodroid X-2: I wish that I could assist you in doing so,but I am just an ordinary machine.

X: What? No! You're so much more than a machine! You're one of my best friends! You're like family to me!

X holds his hand out for a fist bump.

X: C'mon! Dap me up!

Protodroid X-2 and X fist bump one another.

X: That's what I'm talking about!

Suddenly X's phone began ringing as he pulled it out of his pocket before answering.

X: Hello? X speaking!

Blackfire: "Hey baby!"

X: Oh what's up?

Blackfire: "Nothing really. I finished washing Xavier up before putting him in bed.  What're you doing anyways?"

X: Just finishing up some work at the spaceship! I'll be home in a few!

Blackfire: "Well we need to have a talk. Right now!"

X: Now?

Blackfire: "Yes!"

X looks at Protodroid X-2.

X: You mind?

Protodroid X-2 nods before walking off.

X: So what is it that we need talk about anyways?

Blackfire: "Our future."

X takes a seat in his Hoverchair.

Blackfire: "We both are going to have to make a change if we want to be positive role models for our son! In order for that to happen you're going to have to give up your days of being a mercenary X!"

X: WHAT!?

Blackfire: "That means you're going to have to put the guns down and hang the Katanas up for good! You're also going to have to stop hanging out late and most importantly stop using profanity around our child or as a matter of fact in this household!"

X: Are you running a fever or have you lost your goddamn mind? I can't get rid of my guns! It defines who I am! An unadulterated badass!

Blackfire:"I'm dead serious about this X! You can either make a change or get out of this house and that's final! End of discussion!"
