Final Wars: Part 6

"Planet X"

Inside of a rundown parking garage, Trunks looks down at wrist communicator, waiting for a reply while Goten sits up against a nearby wall.

Goten: Anything from my grandpa yet?

Trunks: Nope.

Goten: *Sigh*

Goten looks over at Iris who was standing over a guard rail with a worried look still on her face as she stared out into the distance with her head resting in her hands.

Goten: Dude! I think something's wrong with Iris!

Trunks looks up at Iris.

Trunks: I'll talk to her.

Trunks stands to his feet and walks over to Iris as he leaned over the guard rail next to her.

Trunks: C'mon! Talk to me! What's wrong with you?

Iris sighs as he lowers her head.

Trunks: Lemme guess. It's Xavier, huh?

Iris nods her head.

Trunks: Look! We haven't given up on our boy just yet! We'll try everything in our power to get him back! It's what we heroes do best!

Iris: Okay.

Suddenly, Trunks' wrist communicator goes off as he looked at it, finding an incoming signal on the radar heading towards him and his team's position.

Trunks: Shit!

Goten: What?

Trunks: Something's coming!

Trunks looks back at Goten.

Trunks: Let's move out!

Trunks, Goten, and Iris hop over the guard rails and land on the empty city streets below as they looked to the skies, finding a fast moving object hurdling towards them at supersonic speed. Trunks pulls out a pair of high tech binoculars as he zoomed in on the object, revealing it to be Xavier.

Trunks: "Welp! There goes the need for backup!"

Xavier slams into the ground, shattering it into pieces on impact as dust and large chunks of debris were sent hurdling through the air, causing everyone to shield their eyes. A few minutes later, the dust clears as everyone uncovered their eyes and looked up at Xavier.

Goten: Dang, bro! Talk about sticking a landing!

Goten walks towards Xavier.

Goten: Where the heck have you been!? We actually started to worry about you for a....

Xavier slams his fist into Goten's chest, sending him flying backwards before crashing through a wall and into a nearby building.

Iris: Something's wrong! Xavier's not acting like his usual self!

Trunks: And you're just now noticing that?

Xavier's eyes flash bright red before he discharges a pair of Eye Beams towards Trunks and Iris. Iris immediately hops in front of Trunks and forms an Energy Shield as she blocked Xavier's Eye Beams head on.

Xavier's eyes glow brighter as he further powers his Eye Beams, causing Iris to slide backwards as her Energy Shield slowly began to crack.

Iris: I... I can't maintain this much longer!

Within seconds, Iris's Energy Shield shatters, generating an shockwave that knocked her off of her feet and sent her sliding across the ground.

Trunks: "Damnit!"
