"I'LL ONLY HURT YOU IF YOU LET ME, CALL ME FRIEND BUT KEEP ME CLOSER AND I'LL CALL YOU WHEN THE PARTY'S OVER"
Eyes flutter open, squinting to get used to the light pouring in from the wide open windows. Taking me a second to recognise the room, it's a room I am more than familiar with but I didn't think I would be back here at a time like this.
Why do I have to be so weak when it comes to Severide?
"Good morning" his raspy voice murmurs in my ear as he holds onto me tighter, letting me rest on his bare chest as he strokes my hair with his other hand.
Not really remembering how we got here, all the events meshing into a blur, as though I am watching a movie in my head. Though I can't deny that I haven't felt this peaceful in a long time, his touch gave me some much-needed solace.
"Good morning" I reply, knowing that this is not the right time but I don't make any effort to get out of his arms. I wrap my arms around his waist, shifting so I am laying completely on top of him, head resting where I can hear his heartbeat.
Moving the blanket so it covers our naked bodies as he runs his fingers down my back.
We don't talk, just holding onto each other, missing the feel of his skin against mine.
I don't ever want to let go.

Erin's P.O.V.
"Thank you so much for coming in to clear up some things" I sit opposite Detective Andrew Moore, "anything to help a fellow detective" I already don't like this guy.
"You are obviously aware that we asked your department to send over their case files for the investigations that went into Rachel Down's cases" I start, not wanting to come on too strong. "Yes," he nods, "and we sent them over" he adds.
"We received them thank you" I reply.
If he's lying then he might as well try his hand at acting. His posture, manner and tone are all controlled, not giving me any reason to be suspicious but I still am.
"Do you have any inclination of one case, in particular, being the cause of the trouble?" I hope he gives us a lead.
"Not really, a lot of potential cases" he replies, "Rachel worked defence, she was protecting the bad guys" he adds. "Did you come across anyone who posed a serious threat to Rachel?" I query, "I mean hate mail here and there but no one ever went after her" he answers.
"Where is the hate mail now?" I ask.
"I don't know what Rachel did with them" he responds.
"I don't know if you are aware but at a warehouse fire, Olivia Lewis was attacked" I fill him in and he acts surprised. "We have witnesses that say the man had the right side of his face burnt" a hint of realisation appears in his eyes before disappearing once he blinks.
"Does that ring any bells?" Please tell me the truth.
"No, sorry" and he doesn't, "I can't think of anyone who would do such a thing" he answers and I almost believe him.
"The fire turned out to be an arson" I inform him, "the exact chemical signature used to start the fire matches the Walterdane Warehouse Fire in Parma" he knows better than to react to my words.
"Your department investigated that fire right?" I question.
"I don't think so" he replies, "I worked for the Cleveland Police Department" he adds, "if the fire was in Parma, then it would have been handled by the Parma authorities" he explains.
