"BOY, DON'T CALL ME ANGEL, YOU AIN'T GOT ME RIGHT"
A/N: Warning: There are sensitive themes in this chapter.
Waking up in his arms is a feeling that I have missed for so long, the complete peacefulness and protection his warmth offers.
He has me wrapped around his finger and he doesn't even know it.
"Let's call in sick today" he traces down my bare back, resting firmly on my ass while we lay, legs intertwined as I cuddle into his chest.
"We've spent the last 2 days in bed" I chuckle, enjoying our little bubble, knowing it's only temporary. The moment I step out from under these covers, I am vulnerable but it's nice to just have a few moments where I can pretend nothing is wrong.
Pretend Charles Du Mall isn't waiting outside that door as we speak.
"And I'm not ready for it to end yet" he holds me closer than I thought was possible, water couldn't even get between us.
"If we are both sick then people will talk" I mention, "let them talk" he lifts up my chin so he can peck my lips, "I don't care" he shifts so I am lying on my back and he climbs on top of me. Showering my neck and chest with kisses that tickle as I giggle, squirming underneath him.
"Kelly" I laugh, "stop" it barely comes out as I keep laughing.
"I'm not even doing anything" he holds my arms over my head with his one hand, using his other hand to tickle down my side as I laugh even louder, closing my eyes as I twist and turn under him.
"Kelllyyyy!" I whine, laughing loudly as he tickles me even more.
"Still not tired from screaming my name I see" he smirks and I use his smugness as my chance to flip us over so I am straddling him.
"Hah, got you" I stick out my tongue.
"I am not complaining" he leans back, hands behind his head as he focuses on my exposed breasts. "You can touch them if you like" I tease, "I would rather do a lot more than touch them" he sits up, gripping my waist to hold me in place as he kisses along my cleavage.
"Uh uh uh" I lean back, "we got to get to work" I go to stand up, "I was just getting to work" he holds me in place.
"You keep kissing me like that and you might as well take out furlough" I wrap my arms around him, "because you will not be leaving this bed anytime soon" our lips barely touch. "Don't threaten me with a good time" he flips us over again and I wrap my legs around his waist.
He leans down to kiss me but I stop him, holding his face up so I can just stare at him. Wanting to take in every feature, every hair, every glisten and every shine, it hurts me that this isn't going to be forever.
"Look who is staring now" he jokes, trying to kiss me again but I stop him once more which surprises him.
"Okay, what's going on?" He questions, "I love you Kelly" I state, "I know you do and you know I love you too" he replies. "No" I shake my head, "like I really love you" I admit, "I can't even think about a time when I won't" I don't know why I am being so honest.
"Where is this coming from?" He asks, lying down beside me.
"Nowhere" I reply, "it's just something I want you to know" I turn to face him.
"You got me Kelly Severide" I stroke his cheek, "no matter what, you got me" I add.
I hope he feels the same.
"I will always love you, Olivia, there will never be a time when I won't" he admits, "no matter what, it's you and it will always be you" I really hope he means what he says.
