My ballet practice just ended and one thing I knew for sure is Taeyong was pissed. He thought it was unfair for Yuta to ditch them but he stayed, for Doyoung might get mad if he left. He certainly considered today as the worst summer day.
"Look, I'm sorry it took so long. I usually last longer than that... But-"
"Whatever. Just seal your lips Eunsol," Yuta appeared out of nowhere making me jump back.
"H-how did you get here?" Taeyong asked, but he was happy that Yuta showed up. Very happy. Taeyong must be very thankful that Yuta saved him from being in a place where I breathe with him. Stinkards.
Sometimes, I wondered why such a cool, cute, and handsome guy like Doyoung mingle around with these two weirdos. But then again, Doyoung might have seen something in Yuta and Taeyong that clearly, I couldn't see.
It's been 3 years since I first met Yuta and Taeyong. It was in my junior year when Doyoung invited me to the school gym to meet them. I would admit that the three of them were among the most popular students in Segang Highschool way before anyone came up with the title, NCT. I was a bit hesitant at first because I really didn't interact with boys aside from Doyoung and a few male ballet dancers. But I was always up to something new so I met them.
But, I never felt more embarrassed than that day. They ignored my presence and they never looked at my direction. As if they already hated me before even knowing me. They were in their own world while I was standing there, right in front of them.
At first, I thought I could change that. Because as far as I know.. Yuta was always better for people than the way he treats me. Taeyong was a whole new subject, I knew I was not the problem because he treated all-girls a cold shoulder. Taeyong was only interested in his friends and in his life. But I still wanted to be friends with them because like I said, they had been with Doyoung when I wasn't and Doyoung smiled when he was them.
Anyway, I always wanted to make the people whom Doyoung cherished so much to be my friends too. Doyoung always seemed to like their company that he always had them by his side, which I was relieved to say. Because Doyoung couldn't stay with me all the time or else he would be spinning a pirouette on his way to class. Which I imagined frequently.
But then again, I hope I could be on the good side of Doyoung's pal.
I was still trying my best to get used to their aversion towards me so I only shrugged it off. Because maybe I had done something in our first meeting that they didn't like very much. But that was three years ago.
I was convinced that there's nothing I could do to put those boys in friendly mode around me. Because if I couldn't really make them my friends, then what would? I should just give up.
I sighed as the three of us walked together in the silent neighborhood that unfortunately did not last longer than I expected when Yuta and Taeyong's voice roared while talking about how Yuta's soccer game went and Taeyong having nothing interesting in life so far.
Doyoung promised to treat us and said to meet him in this cafe near my studio, which I happen to never knew about. That explains why I was alone with these two.
I opened my phone and put my headphones on, to distract myself from the loneliness.
As the cafe came into my vision, I also saw a familiar figure running towards us.
"Hey guys," He said, catching his breath as he had run to us. I suddenly felt giddy to see Doyoung.
"Hey Eunsol" He ruffles my hair and I jumped towards him, giving him a playful headlock.
He chuckled, "Stop that!"
I ignored his comment and continued to give him a headlock despite our height difference. He held my waist and I tensed up.
"What are you-" Before I could finish, he started tickling my sides making me let go of him thus giving him more access to tickle my stomach.
I laughed uncontrollably, "Doyoung! Stop! H-hey! You better stop now!"
"I don't want to... " He tickled my tummy and he stuck out his tongue.
"Are you five?" Me and Doyoung stopped and both of us looked at Yuta with confusion.
He rolled his eyes with irritation, "Can you stop? You're so noisy."
Me and Doyoung stood there speechless, trying to contain our laughs while Taeyong shrugged it off and proceeded towards the cafe.
Yuta seemed more annoyed when Doyoung broke out in laughter and I followed, making our voices the only sound in the entrance door of the cafe.
"We are so childish," Doyoung said, doing his habit of ruffling my hair.
"I know right?" I laughed and accidentally, my eyes fell upon Yuta to find him looking at me. He looked away as soon as we made eye contact.
I shrugged it off, "So, Doyoung, let's get in." I locked my arms in his and he flashed me a beaming smile.
Yuta glanced at us one more time before he passed through the narrow space beside me, bumping me in the process.

The cafe was huge. Once we got in, the first thing I saw was the plants that were placed almost everywhere and a large bookshelf displayed in the far right corner.
It had a wooden surface with warm-colored walls that gave an aesthetic vibe along with the traditional paintings and carpets that were evident in every angle I looked.
The cafe approximately had two floors, occupied by a coffee table. A vase to match it was put on the a table along with menu cards.
Taeyong volunteered to look for a seat while me, Yuta, and Doyoung headed to the counter to order some food.
"Good afternoon, what can I get you?" A girl who seemed to be of our age asked, with a beautiful smile plastered on her lips. Despite wearing an apron and a hairnet, it was still visible how her curves hugged her body and how her hair fought for freedom in a messy bun. She was pretty.
"I'm gonna get a cup of yogurt and a well-cooked mackerel please" I excitedly said to her and she smiled back.
"Please get her whatever she wants," Doyoung cheekily said and I felt my cheeks redden.
Doyoung looked at Yuta and asked him, "What are you gonna get?"
Yuta didn't seem to answer but after a few minutes he finally came to a realization that Doyoung asked him.
What's with him now? Oh, He must be attracted to the person in the counter.
I looked at Yuta as a teasing smile took over my face.
"Just get me a milkshake and a-"
He was still in the middle of ordering but when he saw me grinning at him.
"What's that ugly thing you're doing with your face?" He asked, clueless. I kind of found it cute how he reacted.
I smiled again, "What do you mean?"
"You just-"
"Oh hey! Taeyong found a spot!" I sat, leaving behind a confused Yuta.
