I continued to smile as I walked around the market place. The people glared at me, disgust present in their faces as they try to stay as far away from me as possible.

"Can I buy some of those cabbages?" I inquired as I walked over to a stall, basket on hand.

The woman selling the vegetables quickly screamed as she tried to get away from me. I internally frowned at the action but decided to ignore it.

This is how it usually is here on the island. I have lived here for a year now and yet the anger of the residents only seemed to grow.

"You demon! Get away from her!!"

"Stop threatening other people!!"

I bit my lip at the sudden rage thrown at me but nevertheless, I continued to smile. I reached forward for the cabbage. Putting it into my basket and placing the beli on the surface.

I quickly walked away as the people continued to shout obscurities my way. I stretched my mouth wider until all my teeth were showing.

Smile. Kimiko. Smile.

"Stop smiling you bitch!"

"You're a monster!"

I didn't say anything as the rapid sound of my heartbeat rings on my ear.

"Just die already!!!"

I choked as I quickly ran towards an alleyway. The place is dark and hidden a bit from the judgemental eyes of the crowd. No one will see me here. No will come for me.

"Smile. Smile. Smile." I repeated over and over again as I etch the ever permanent grin on my face.

Not letting the tears stream down as I stared up at the sky. Thinking about every good memory that I have but coming out with nothing.

Right... I don't have any good memories.

But still, I will continue to smile.

"Smile smile no mi: Happiness" I mumbled quietly to myself as my powers envelop me.

It covers me into a faint yellow glow as I felt happiness overcome my entire being. The sudden burst of power stops the tears from pouring out but the ache continues to take place in my heart.

I didn't know how to get rid of it so I continued to smile. Trying to ignore it even if it hurts.

"Smile, Kimiko. You're doing great."

"You idiot, don't just suddenly run out!!" A green-haired man shouted as he tried to follow his stupid head of a captain.

"Shishishi! Hurry up, Zoro! I'm hungry!!" The black-haired man wearing a strawhat giggled as he looks back at his companion.
