Chapter 8

Chapter 8 - Island to island

I felt myself relax and succumb to the soreness of my body once I saw the first sign of sunlight hit the boat. 

Finally.

I dropped down on the deck as I hold onto my shirt and needles. I have flung them away after a few minutes of training since I wasn't able to move much, the needles kept poking me every time I stretch. It was annoying the hell out of me. While I took off my shirt since my body was starting to sweat too much.

"ECKKK!!! WHY ARE YOU TOPLESS?! ALSO, STOP DROPPING DOWN FROM PLACES! YOU ALMOST SLAMMED ONTO ME!!"

I winced when a shriek erupted from behind my form. First thing in the morning and she is already screaming. 

I turned my body so that I would be facing the orange-haired woman. I felt my mouth twitch a bit, though, I maintained my smile as I bore my eyes right at her.

Nami quickly shivered at the expression as she took a step back. A lot of steps back.

It was amusing, to say the least.

If the only thing I have to do is smile at people so that they would shut up, then I'd gladly etch this expression on my face for the rest of my life. 

"I was training." I simply answered as I hop back to the other boat. That explanation was enough for the navigator to just huff and proceed on to what she was going to do.

Zoro has awakened once he heard the sudden uproar. He yawned loudly, standing up to stretch his arms and legs. While Luffy was already up since hours ago. The teen was actually ogling me while I was training.

It was nerve-wracking. The lad's stare was so amusing but creepy at the same time. It felt like every inch of me was exposed to him.

"Shishishi! Kimiko, you look so weird sitting on the roof doing nothing. Why were you doing that? Are you an idiot?" Luffy giggled as he munched on a piece of fruit.

I felt my mouth twitch again as I proceeded to force a smile at my captain. He has been shouting at me while I was meditating. I didn't know what to think of it so I decided to act like the teen didn't exist while doing so. Even if the Luffy was annoying and obnoxiously loud, I oddly managed to ignore the teen and continue on with my training.

I was actually impressed with myself. Most people would have lashed out already if a black-haired boy keeps on shouting your name for the past 30 minutes.

Good thing I was able to develop my patience, or just block out what other people are saying. Especially since I made sure to meditate every once in a while so I can push my negative thoughts and place them on the back of my mind.  I don't want things to turn south anytime soon.

"Heh. You were training?" Zoro smirked as he took a pear from the captain.

"Hey! That's mine!!"

"Yeah. You gave quite a speech last night so I got motivated." I smirked back at the first mate, watching as he and the captain proceeded to wrestle for the fruit.

I sweatdropped at the two before moving on to my chosen corner in the boat. My measly trash bag and other belongings are plopped there.
