Chapter 10

Chapter 10 - Hypnotism

Once we were a couple of ways away from the mansion, Zoro finally let go of Luffy. As do me and Nami, letting the three boys walk on their own.

The captain continued to pout before deciding to run off somewhere. He grinned back at us for a second then proceeded to vanish from our sight. I just smiled as I watch the excited teen.

There was no stopping Luffy from dashing away. The village is small enough for us to not lose him anyway. Hopefully. 

The first mate grumbled under his breath, contemplating what to do. Though, after a while, he didn't make any move to stop the wild captain. Instead, Zoro prompted on sitting down and leaning on a fence near us. The others shortly following behind his form.

I turned my smile to the swordsman, slowly walking over to the shade. The tree I'm below in was a bit far from the others but I can still hear them from my spot. I could also join in if need be, however, I'm not feeling talkative as of right now. They aren't saying anything anyway so peace was maintained. 

After that scene back in the mansion, I'm pretty sure they wanted to take a break. Although, my safe bet is they're not thinking much about what happened. Since we were technically not included. 

But if something does happen, there is a great possibility that we will join in. Luffy liked the long-nosed teen and it won't be surprising if the captain wants to help Usopp. 

My eyes wandered around the area, houses were scattered around. The buildings were positioned a lot of ways away from each other. It was safe to say, we were in the secluded part of the village. There weren't many people visible as well.

I hummed a bit when I saw a bakery. It was barely noticeable from my standpoint. Still, I can notice the sign with a poor excuse for a bread illustration. It looks almost like a simple oval from this far. 

I glance at Zoro, Nami, and the two boys -the other one disappearing a while ago. After observing them, I deemed it alright to depart for a minute. Thus, I walked off without any warning. The four weren't talking with each other anyways and prompted on cooling off. 

Their eyes were closed hence why my exit wasn't noticed much. Besides, with me being easily forgotten, it was a piece of cake to just up and go. 

"Hey Kimiko, where do you think you're going?!"

Welp. Guess I'm not as stealthy as I thought. 

I didn't turn around. Merely stopping for a second before continuing to strut forward, no glancing back. For sure I would just see the glaring expression of the first mate. And as funny as that might be, he is still kinda intimidating. 

When I was about 10 feet away from the others, I could hear Zoro grunting before letting me be. Nami didn't seem to care while the two kids were doing who knows what.

That was easier than I thought. I expected the swordsman or the navigator to question me but they didn't do any of that sort. Heh. Maybe they're tired. 

Once I was close to the bakery, I was instantly hit by the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. My stomach wasn't feeling hungry at the moment but the smell was enough to make me want to buy some.
