Chapter 4 - Fight

"We're now quite far away from the pub."

"Yeah... We can stay here for a minute to rest."

"They won't be able to catch up with us immediately now." Zoro panted as he leans closer to my figure.

I bit my lip at the weight before I glance at him. The swordsman is becoming paler and paler by the second. I look at his wound to see that he's bleeding out a lot more because of all the walking. Shit.

"Maybe we should stop here for a second," I suggested to the first mate when I caught him wincing yet again.

"Our escape was done okay but that cage is starting to annoy me!!" Zoro growled.

He gazed at the cage Luffy is in while I continued to drag it with us. It has been slowing us down since I can't really carry it as well as the two could. Still, we are making progress.

Though, I would like this stupid cage to disappear as well. It would be best if it just gets destroyed all of a sudden. However, none of us know how to do that at the moment.

"Yeah. If this thing doesn't open then even though all those bad guys come, I can't even attempt to fight them!!" Luffy whined as he gnawed at the metal bars.

The captain has been groaning and attempting to get out of the cage. Still, no matter how much he tries, no damage was given to it.

I was about to comment when I felt Zoro leaning a lot more on me. I whipped my head towards him while I did my best to make sure he won't fall face-first on the pavement. I hurriedly halt dragging the cage.

I held the swordsman steady as I carefully sat him down. He's a hella lot heavier than I can take. I'm honestly surprised I manage to carry him this far while also dragging Luffy with me. The first mate grunted as he rests his head on my shoulder.

Shit. That's not a good sign. He's losing a lot of blood.

"This is it... I don't have enough blood. I can't walk any longer!" Zoro coughed as I felt his hold on me tighten.

"Zoro?!" The captain called out to him, continuously hitting the cage in the process. Luffy must be feeling like shit to see his first mate like this.

"Shit. Just a second, Zoro! I'll find a first aid kit!" I said as I carefully place him down on the ground.

"Eh?! What's with this dog?!" Zoro frowned, looking at the side.

You're dying and your focus is on a damn dog?!

"Dog? Hey, it is a dog!"

You too, captain?!

I huffily followed their line of sight and there it is, in front of a building, stood a dog. It wasn't moving though...

I promptly ignored it and concentrated on pulling Zoro over to a post so he can lean on it. The first mate gave me a nod as he was able to rest much more comfortably.

I stood up and pull Luffy's cage closer to us as well, right in front of the dog that he seemed to be focused on. He quickly sat on the edge of the cage as he observed the unmoving mutt.
