Chapter 9 - Clahador
═ ∘◦❦◦∘ ═

I hummed to myself as I hopped off the boat. My hands holding onto the articles of clothing that I would be selling. I do hope that I earn a lot more than before. I don't want our pirate group to be a broke one.

I don't know for sure if the shop would agree on buying my pieces. Though I can be rather persevering if need be. Also, I could just go door to door if it comes down to it.

I just hope I won't terrify the owner.

I started to walk back to the village. I passed through quite a lot of people that we're fortunately minding their own business. This place is a rather peaceful one. However, I don't know if it is all a front or everyone is just as they should be.

I glance at the three dresses that I have managed to finish. They were folded neatly and looks as it should, brand new. They came in white, the color I mostly use since it is the most accessible fabric in the market. Though, I hope to work with other colors of fabric in the coming future.

As the clothing store came in view, I quickly notice how the place seems to be quite famous in the island. A good sign to me since my clothes would possibly be bought at a higher price.

I confidently enter the shop, making sure that my face has no expression whatsoever. Better neutral than smiling. I don't want to scare away potential buyers.

I glance around to see that quite a lot of women are browsing the store. The place mostly sells clothing that is in their preference. Another good sign.

I walked over to the cashier, seeing the owner beaming and talking to anyone that came close to him. As soon as I stood in front of him, the old man promptly greets me with a giddy look on his face. He would be disappointed since I'm not here to buy anything. And if I do, I don't think I can afford these pieces anyway.

"Good morning, Ms! Here to look for a new dress to impress your boyfriend?" The owner grinned at me.

No.

"I'm actually here to sell some clothes that I made. I suppose that it is fine?" I politely asked as I showed him the pieces that I have.

The man frowned as soon as those words came out of my mouth. He glanced at my arms before quickly shaking his head. He seems annoyed for some reason.

"I'm sorry young lady but the clothes sold here are only stitched by me! I don't allow others to sell their products on my store!" The owner proudly declared, pointing at my form like I did something incredibly wrong.

I understood and respect it if he felt that way. However, he doesn't need to point it out like what I did was a sin.

"Also from the looks of it, your clothes are low class! No one would purchase that ugly thing!!" The owner huffed before turning his head to the side. His shoutings were causing quite a ruckus that people in the store are starting to stare at us.

If he doesn't want to buy my clothes then he should have said it politely. No need to embarrass me in front of others. And he was doing it quite fucking rudely, may I add. Although, I know for certain that if I retaliate it would only affect negatively on my part. No need for me to be brash.

I stayed silent for a while, just boring my eyes at the old man. He rolled his eyes when he noticed that I wasn't leaving. So this is how it's going to be.

I hummed to myself, trying to hide my frustration. Deciding on what to do, I quickly pulled a smile, still staring at the rude man. If I can't retaliate then I'll just make him uncomfortable. That's what I'm good at anyway.
