8 months later.
I held the gun in my hands, and I emptied my round, which contained 15 bullets, I emptied out the magazine, and loaded the other one into it. The noise cancelling ear muffs were on my head and the duty belt around my waist held my other magazines. I heard the sounds of the siren and I turned and hit the other target.
I looked back at the firearms Director and I pulled off my ear muffs and put the glock into it's holster. He finished writing down some quick notes and looked back up at me. "Congratulations, you passed with a 90." He said and my face fell. "A 90?" I asked and he nodded and pointed to a course where the board had a gun held up to the woman's head.
"You hesitated 5 times during that round. But besides that, it was good. I'll go bring this to your acting unit chief, and he'll get back to you as soon as he can." He said and I nodded, and took off my belt and my gun, along with my ear muffs. I took my hair out of it's ponytail, my bangs falling down over my face. I watched as the man left and I looked back over to where the fake man was holding a gun to the victim's head.
"Can you tell me what this is?" Abigail Moore asked me, holding up a picture of a gun. I shot my gaze over to her and sighed. "It's a gun. You asked me this 5 minutes and 3 seconds ago." I said glaring at the clock and she tilted her head. "Wow, you're very smart." She said and I rolled my eyes and watched as she switched the cards. "Who's this?" She asked and held up a picture of Hayley. I pinched the bridge of my nose and closed my eyes.
"I don't get why we're doing this." I said sitting on the chair, my hands crossed over my chest. "Because-" She said and I cut her off, knowing exactly what she was going to say. " 'Because I have Acute Stress Disorder, and if I don't get it treated then it can affect the way I do my job.' You tell me this every time. I've been here for 5 months." I said and she nodded, her dark skin glowing beautifully in the light.
"You're right. You've been here for 5 months, and you can't even tell me who this is." She said and I sighed. "It's Hayley. A picture I took of her, when I went out with her and Jack. I told her to sit down and smile, because she looked great and that her blue eyes popped with the shirt she was wearing." I said and she nodded and went back to the gun.
I rolled my eyes at her taunting and shook my head. "You're doing great Hadley. You're getting better." She said and a knock came from the door. "We're ready!" She yelled and the woman- who I knew as Judith came in.
Abigail looked down at my bruised knuckles and sighed. "I'm guessing you didn't take my advice about the fighting thing." She said and I smirked looking at her and I shrugged.
"We're ready for the walk." Judith said and then Diana Reid- my boyfriend- or well, I'm currently not sure who he was to me right now but it was his mother. I'm still extremely angry at him for having Will send me here, but I missed him a lot. And I would kill if he came and saw me- but at the same time I'd want to slap him across the face.
