twenty-six; i love you.
Present.
I sat in the chair outside the room and was on the verge of going to sleep. Spencer sat next to me- our fingers intertwined. He rubbed his thumb against the back of my wrist as a sign of comfort. He looked over and saw Emily walking in and he stiffened but continued the motion.
"At least you've got her back." Erin Strauss said and I rolled my eyes- forgetting she was even there. I sighed and shook my head. "Agent LaMontagne- are you okay? You look pale." Strauss said and I rolled my eyes. "Can you just stop? I'm fine." I snapped and she nodded and I closed my eyes and stood up- straightening my gray blazer, afraid that a secret would be exposed during this.
2 weeks earlier.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked keeping my eyes ahead of me and Shaw smirked and shrugged. "I have no idea what you mean, luv. What happened to your fist?" He asked and I clenched my jaw. "Shaw- I'm not really in a good mood right now." I said and he sighed, I tucked my hand under my blazer and looked at him.
"I know, I'm sorry. So, I've got people just like you asked for." He said and I looked over at the water at the pond- where I once went with Hayley.
"What have they found out?" I asked and he sighed. "Tavern and Miller found out there was a private airfield in Largo." He said and I nodded and he pulled out a gun- that was the same as mine.
"What if this doesn't work? What if you miss and hit someone on the team?" I asked and he smirked. "Luv, I never miss. I've been doing this and had sniper training longer than Azzy. "He said and I nodded understanding.
"All you have to do if make it seem like you shot him." He said and I nodded and then sighed closing my eyes. "You do know that this will have consequences right? The BAU used government funding for a personal case." I stated and he shrugged and I raised both of my eyebrows- watching as a duck flew by.
"Shaw, if I cover for you and they find out I can lose my job. I'll be swearing an oath to tell the truth." I said and then he nodded and looked over to the side. "So then tell them the truth." He said and I licked my lips.
"You'll loose your job." I said and he shrugged and slid on his sun glasses. "Remember what I said, luv. Don't shoot. I've got it covered." He said and I nodded and licked my lips- watching as he left.
We arrived at the private airfield in Largo and I had on my vest over my white shirt. I had my glock out. I blocked out whatever Hotch was saying and I watched as Ian stepped out of the jet. I watched as Spencer and Emily held onto Doyle and my hands started to get clammy seeing my boyfriend holding onto Doyle. Anthony held his gun up next to me and I looked to my left and saw wood stacked on top of each other. I saw the shine of a gun and I knew Shaw was there and I knew that was the signal. I kept my gun raised and I walked up behind Spencer and Emily, hearing the calls of Anthony.
