NO ONE'S POV
It was 2 days after Jungwoo told Lucas what happened to him.
Lucas can't sleep after he told his story. He was like a zombie the next day, which worried his 3 friends who were staying at his apartment.
He snapped out of his thoughts and slapped himself mentally when there was a hand was placed on his shoulder. The taller looked down and there was a piece of paper sitting on his desk.
'You okay? You've been spacing out and Mr. Lee was looking at you from time to time. I don't want you to get in trouble.' It said.
Then the transferee turned to look at the mute, who was focusing on what their professor was saying, before smiling and listened to the lesson.
"You'll be preparing for the play tomorrow. I will assign the director and scriptwriter for today." Mr. Lee told the class.
He picked Minhyuck as the director of the play and Kyungsoo as the scriptwriter. "The director will decide the cast, then the props and costume committee. That's all for today. Class dismissed."
The students packed their bags and head out to their next class. Lucas and Jungwoo walked into the labortory for they have an experiment today.
But unfortunately, Mr. Kim decided to move it the next day after tomorrow. "Sorry class but I have to finish discussing Periodic table."
Chemistry was the other boring class, except for those who wants to take medicine in college.
Why am I even here in this class? Jungwoo thought and put his hand under his chin.
After one hell of a lesson, it was finally lunch break. Jongdae didn't went with them as his friend was waiting for him outside. "Thanks for the company. See ya tomorrow guys!" He waved at them.
They went out of the classroom and Taeil was waiting for them. Jungwoo faced his hyung. 'I have to get something hyung. You two go first.' He signed.
Taeil got worried what his best friend had said. 'I'll be fine.' The younger assured him.
-
"Well, you're alone right?" Jae smirked at the mute. His minions just laughed.
Jungwoo was in the comfort room after getting his sketchbook from his locker. He was now cornered by the bullies.
"We'll be easy on you for this is only our first week." The leader said. They continued on taunting him until the five boys got bored. "Let's leave. His friends might see us."
They quickly went out, leaving Jungwoo sitting on the floor, crying his eyes out because of the harsh remarks.
It's not true. They just want you not to trust them anymore and leave them. None of them are true.
He stood up and walked to the sink. Looking at his own reflection, his styled hair was now disheveled, puffy and red eyes, and tear-stained cheeks.
The red haired washed his face and fixed his hair so no one would notice what had happened. He doesn't want to worry his friends, especially Taeil.
He walked out towards the field. Seeing his friends chatting and happy together without him, he felt a bit broken inside.
Maybe what they said to me was-
His thoughts were cut off when someone called him in the bleachers. "Hyung!" Jungwoo saw Jisung waving. He smiled and walked to their place. The others were rushing him to come over.
"We have new friends Yukhei brought to us!" Taeyong yelled excitedly as he jogged across the field.
Or maybe not.
-
"Where were you? You came back for like after 30 minutes when we were dismissed." Jungwoo's best friend asked him quietly. Taeil knew when the mute said that to him, it wouldn't be that long.
'Sorry. Ms. Yoon called me. It's nothing, don't worry.' He signed and smiled. Taeil seemed to believe his excuse. Jungwoo felt relieved.
The duo were now in Foreign Language. The class had a quiz, which the two already finished before anyone else. They were just waiting for the class to end and they're home free.
"Anyway, Kun, Ten, and Sicheng seemed nice. I haven't even noticed Sicheng was here until now, or is it because he doesn't have even one class with us." Taeil whispered to his seatmate.
Jungwoo shrugged in response and signed nothing. They might be seen talking and get detention. 1 hour detention. Last class and get detention? No.
After that, the two friends kept quiet until the class ended. "You can go now. Have a nice day ahead." Their professor said while fixing the test papers.
"I'm so nervous for tomorrow. If I'm stuck in the props committee, it's over." Taeil sulked and buried his face on Jungwoo's shoulder as they walk. The latter rolled his eyes and nudged him to let go.
Lucas messaged the mute he won't be with them because Kun took him, along with Sicheng and Ten.
They went to the mall to buy some snacks. "Here." Taeil handed a plastic bag full of food. He always treat Jungwoo because he doesn't have work and no money in his wallet.
"I'll go first Woo. Be safe." Taeil hugged his best friend before going to the opposite direction.
Jungwoo walked to the building while his mind was preoccupied. Good thing nothing happened to him when he reached his apartment, greeting the landlord before going up to his room.
After setting down the groceries, he cooked his dinner and ate while doing his Chemistry homework on the table with the tv turned on for background music.
The red haired finished his work without difficulty because he listened to his professor. He doesn't want to have a failing grade just because he didn't listen.
