Eidunn walked aside Sigfrid, as they talked. A few steps behind was Aric who sat with Princess Eldrid, chatting away whilst keeping his little brother occupied with fake battling.

Sigfrid's mother had reminded the two girls not to wander too far off, but the young princess rolled her eyes claiming she knew the woods and wouldn't be able to get lost within them.

A bit further away was a group of boys, trying to train amongst each other, but all too young to know better. One of the boys that was not taking part in the showdown approached the two girls. "Hi, I'm Elendur" he said, introducing himself whilst the two girls looked at each other.

Eidunn recognized the boy from the market before. He was a son of one of the more destitute families of traders that had to join his father on trading because they had no stable home. Aric had told her he was a good boy for his age "I am Princess Eidunn and this is Sigfrid" she said gesturing to the girl beside her who was grasping her hand, unsure if she could call the daughter of a princess a princess as well. She made a mental note to ask mother about it later.

Princess Eidunn. The name within the boy's head echoed as he straightened his back. She was the king and queen's daughter, how could he not recognize her beforehand? He asked himself. "Well, Princess Eidunn and Sigfrid, would you like to play with me?" he offered, a smile slowly forming on his lips.

When the princess inched to reply another voice spoke first, coming from the group of boys. "Hey look! Trade boy found some girls!" the voice said and the ground of boys rushed to the three children.

A blonde boy emerged from them, looking up and down the two girls. "Finally some entertainment" he said, stepping forward to sand in front of them.

"Back off, Baldur. They didn't do anything" Elendur said, placing himself in front of the two girls, promising to protect his princess like any good man would do for any member of the royal family.

The blonde boy turned to glance at the one that had just spoken with a degrading look. "And that is the problem, bonehead" he said, shoving the boy aside as he came to stand against the two girls. "Now they will perform a show for us" he said inching forward.

Eidunn pulled Sigfrid behind her as she glared at the entitled boy. "Careful how you speak to me. I am the princess" she said, trying to sound confident whilst the boy frowned.

"It doesn't matter who you are. In these woods, you are mine!" he said his hand flying forward to grasp the girl's upper dress tearing it apart and leaving the poor girl exposed.

The blonde younger girl next to her let out a small scream that sounded more like a squeal whilst the brunette boy picked himself up from the ground. "Baldur stop!" he yelled launching himself and tacking the blonde boy.

Sigfrid helped the girl fix the upper part of her dress whilst she watched the two boys wrestle on the ground in horror. Her face was red from the embarrassment. She wanted to cry, to scream but then someone appeared within her mind as the only logical solution. She took off running with her blonde friend and screamed at the top of the her lungs.

"Aric!"

The blonde prince snapped his head at the direction of the scream, setting down his little brother by his aunt and raising from his seat. He watched as the two girls rush towards them. "Eidunn, Sigfrid! What happened?!" he said, panic filling his veins as his sister landed with a thud on his waist wrapping her hands around him tightly as he started to sob.

"He-he pulled off my dress-" she barely managed to say before falling on another fit of sobs.

"They're fighting! Come quick!" Sigfrid said, frowning up at the man as he brought his sister to his aunt and told her to better stay back whilst he took after his cousin.
