Volume 4 Ep. 4 - Forgotten Memories

Narration

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

The inhabitants of the grand meeting room turn towards the door. The pallor skinned woman and short-haired, one-eyed woman look up from their session. "Welcome back." Salem greets with a smile.

The young man ignores Cinder's two followers and walks deeper into the meeting room. "Why did you send me to that stupid party, Mistress?" The young man asks her as he slouches on the nearest chair.

"I thought it would be best for you to have fun before getting into business." Salem tells him. Cinder silently sat there. The young man looks up and notices the tension around Cinder. He looks back at the entrance and saw that he passed by Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai.

The young man scrambled onto his feet. "Sorry about that." The young man sheepishly laughs. "I'm Y/N." Y/N introduces himself. Mercury and Emerald look at him with widened eyes.

Y/N notices and looks at the two. "Is something the matter?" He asks them. "What's your name again?" Emerald asks him. "My name is Y/N." He says slowly so she could understand him.

"Y/N," Salem calls to him. "Yes, Mistress?" Y/N answers and turns to her. "Can you go accompany Tyrian? Something tells me..." Salem pauses. Y/N nods, knowing what she means.

"Very well, Mistress." Y/N replies and turns away from her. As he makes his departure, Mercury holds Y/N's shoulder. Y/N looks up at him. "Can you, please, let go of me?" Y/N politely asks him.

"Hey, Y/N. You don't know us?" Mercury asks him. Y/N looks at both Emerald and Mercury. He then shakes his head. "Please don't mistake me for someone else. I have never seen you two before." Y/N commented and slaps Mercury's hand off.

"And, please, don't act as if we're best buds... because I for sure know," He paused and glares at Mercury. "You're trouble, I advise that you get back onto my good side." Y/N suggests him and leaves to find off the Scorpion Faunus.

-RUBY-

"We're not looking for a fight!" Jaune shouts at the Scorpion Faunus. "Who are you?" Ren asks. Tyrian smirks down at the group. He drops down from the tower, and lands on his feet in front of them.

Team RNJR were currently making their way out of Oniyuri but had been stopped by an unprecedented roadblock. "Who I am matters not to you." He then points to Ren. "Or you." And then points to Nora. "Or you. Or -- " He cuts himself off and pauses when his finger lands on Jaune.

"Well... you do interest me." Tyrian comments as Jaune gasps nervously. "No, I only matter... to you." He points to Ruby, and the rest of Team RNJR turn to look rather. She tilts her head in confusion.

"Me?" Ruby lets out. "You -- you haven't the slightest clue, do you? Oh, how exciting this must be!" Tyrian breaks down in laughter. "What do you want?" Ruby asks sternly.

"Oh, the rose has thorns! My little flower, I'm here to whisk you away with me!" Tyrian acts drastically in response with her tone. "Well, what if she doesn't want to go with you?" Nora cuts in. Tyrian stares for a moment with his lips scrunched up before answering.

"Well... I'll take her." Tyrian replies as if it weren't obvious. "We're not going to let you do that." Jaune steps in front of Ruby and Nora. Tyrian closed his eyes and inhales through his teeth. His eyes slowly open, and he happily growls a single word with a dark grin. "Good." Tyrian replied delightedly.

Tyrian moves fast to attack Jaune from behind. "Jaune!" Ren calls out to him. Ren deliberately shoots Jaune's shield so that the ricochet hits Tyrian. In turn, the Scorpion Faunus covers his eyes with his arm and then cartwheels onto Jaune's shield, using his claw blades to spin in the air against it.

Ruby steps in to face Tyrian on his descent, but he just kicks her to the side. She regains her ground by using Crescent Rose to steady herself. Jaune takes a swing with his sword at Tyrian, but he simply dodges and kicks him away as well.

Tyrian, then, dashes towards Nora. From across the way, Ruby grins and shoots Nora with lightning dust. It passes just over Tyrian's left shoulder, and he turns as he senses it. Nora gets knocked down when the bolt makes contact dropping Magnhild in the process.

Tyrian gives Nora a baffled stare and laughs while Ren, Jaune, and Ruby simply watch and wait. "Well! If that isn't ironic." Tyrian commented as the sound of electricity could be heard behind him.

Tyrian then senses something us up and loses his mirth. With a determined, satisfied grin, a now upright and supercharged Nora rushes Tyrian from behind, moving over his right shoulder and coming before him just in time to hit him with her hammer.

The blast from the contact has the other three covering their eyes from the backwash of dust and air. The air clears to reveal a perfectly fine Tyrian in a crouch, using his now unveiled scorpion tail to block Magnhild. He giggles and curls his fingers at Nora.

"Surprise!" He amusingly lets out. Tyrian kicks Nora twice in the face before leaping backward and upward onto a roof, leaving his coat behind. "He's... a Faunus!" Ren lets out in shock.

"What is this about? The White Fang? Roman Torchwick?" Ruby lets out in confusion. "Plastic soldiers and pawns! My heart and body belong only to our goddess!" Tyrian replies.

"Cinder..." Ruby muttered. "Hmph, only in her wildest dreams." Tyrian commented. He leaps back into the fray and uses his tail to knock Crescent Rose down. Though surprised, Ruby doesn't lose her grip on it. The two both attack each other and miss until Tyrian kicks Ruby backward again.

Tyrian uses his tail to go after Ren before finally kicking him away and attacking Jaune next. A crow flies determinedly toward the fray while Tyrian kicks Jaune back and then Nora, and then Ren returns for more only to leap away again.

Without missing a beat, Tyrian lets Ren be and goes after Ruby again. In quick succession, he delivers a right hook to her face and a left blow to her torso, causing red shimmers on her aura on her head and chest respectively.

He turns and swings his tail to knock her back into the air. She flies back several feet and he rushes forward to meet her before she lands. While Ruby's still midair, he kicks her right in the abdomen, causing a large red shimmer over her abdomen and hips.

The incoming crow turns into Qrow Branwen who keeps running forward after landing. Tyrian approaches Ruby on the ground and raises his stinger, his eyes turning dark purple.

Nora, who is comforting a fallen Ren, and Jaune both look on in horror. Laughing, Tyrian is about to strike with his scorpion tail when Qrow bursts through a building and inserts himself between them, holding his weapon behind his back.

There's a metallic noise as Tyrian's stinger hits against Qrow's weapon and clips into the blade. He lets out a nervous giggle of surprise while Ruby and Qrow make eye contact and smile at each other.

"Hey."
