LB: Thats actually easy to answer. He had become fond of the girl, she needed a great agent to protect her... and Hitch is kind of lonely.. he gets along with colleagues and so on.. but he doesnt have family and after Bradleys accident it only became worse. So I though Ruby may be a nice change for his live.. something new to care about.
