I felt a soft touch on my cheek. I gently opened my eyes to see a small white cat with a red circle on her forehead sitting on top of me. I smile.
"Good morning Nekomi, what are you doing here?" I ask quietly. The small cat simply purrs. She jumps onto my bedside table and shows me a note I assume she brought with her. I pick up the note and gently stroke her head.
"Dearest America,
UN has informed me that you, Russia, Italy and I will be watching over Germany at the meeting today! I'm so happy you were able to convince him. It's been years since I've seen my friend.
Before the meeting starts, we were thinking about getting together at our special spot in the forest. We hope you and your brothers will join!
- Japan," I read out loud.
I smile and placed the note down. Nekomi looks up at me sweetly. I pick her up and put her near the door.
"Go wake my brothers, I will get dressed," I say to the small cat. She makes her way out of my room to carry out her task. I smile and begin to get dressed. Nekomi is Japan's spirit creature, that's why they have the same flag. If someone has a spirit creature, it means that they were supposed to have a twin, or their twin died before they got their powers. The dead twins guardian would then find an animal to merge with. That animal would go on to protect and comfort the other twin. I sigh. I always wondered why I didn't have a spirit creature.
Maybe he was supposed to be powerless as well...
I shook my head. I am supposed to have powers. I just don't have them yet. I will.
Right?
