Chapter 17

After Sabrina left, I locked to the door and wrapped the necklace around the knob.

"What are you still doing here?" I looked back at Harvey, he grabbed one of his dad's rifles. "What are you doing?"

"Its a barrier charm. I used it to protect myself against bullies at the academy."

He nodded his head and I explained everything. About my syphoning ability, the Red Death, all of it. He tried to fight me to leave, given the whole first born thing but I refused. I wasn't leaving him alone in this. Sabrina was more powerful and was needed to protect the school. I heard the sound of something hitting the barrier and I recognized the groan.

"Nicholas?" I said and took the charm off, opening the door and saw him standing up. "What are you doing here?" I stepped out to him and checked him over.

"Who's this?" I looked back and saw Harvey at the door behind us.

"Harvey right?" Nicholas asked him.

"Yeah who are you?"

"I'm Nick Scratch. Sabrina sent me," He and I came in and I placed the charm back in place. "Though when she said Sebella was here I wasn't gonna say no. I'm a friend of theirs and your back up for tonight." He explained.

"Nick you can get killed." I snapped at him and he turned to face me.

"So could you. A mortal first born? Are you serious Sebella? You're gonna risk your life for another mortal? What's wrong with you?" He snapped back.

"I can protect myself!"

"Just because you have some magic ring, doesn't mean you can control magic right away, and now is not the time to try!" I looked at him pissed off. How dare his talk to me like that, even if he was right. "Now," He turned back to Harvey. "I'm gonna need you to show me every window and door in this house, so I can seal and bind them for you."

"I'll help."

"No, save your magic. You have an unknown limit so let's not push it." Then Nicholas walked further into the house.

"What kind of friend?" Harvey asked as he followed and I started laughing.

"He's no into my sister."

"Oh I can tell that, but you're like a sister to me and he just blew up on you over staying here." He looked at me for a minute. "Why did you stay?"

"Like you said, you're like a brother to me, and Tommy was like a big brother to me. That's why I killed Agatha."

As midnight came, Nicholas I started the chant to protect the door, everything was sealed and such, Harvey was placing furniture in front of the door and cocked his gun. He pointed to towards the door and we noticed figures standing outside it.

"You gonna do something here?" Harvey asked.

"I'm doing it farm boy." Nicholas said back.

"Stop it you guys!"

"Not that you deserve it. You're a witch hunter aren't you? And yet she still loves you.

"Not now." I said and he started again. Suddenly I was in the woods with Sabrina and Miss Wardwell. "What the- What's going on?"

"Sabrina needs your help." Miss Wardwell said.

"What how?" I looked at Sabrina and then noticed the Book of the Beast. "You're gonna sign it?" I looked at her.

"We have to sign, Bella."

"We?" I looked at Miss Wardwell.

"You area witch with a special ability. Once you sign this book, you'll be able to channel the power from it, from all who have signed, and together with your sister, you can beat the Thirteen." I looked at Sabrina and she was crying a bit. She had more to loose then I did.
