This will give you a short synopsis of what the characters are all about and their lives before meeting one another... Enjoy xo 

They live in New York, but not New York City... Probably somewhere like Queens.

Belle Evans: Her biological mother and father divorced in her early ages and her father re-married Melissa Edwards. Belle takes her biological father's surname. Her father died in a hit-and-run drunk driving accident when she was 7 years old. Melissa Edwards is her step-mother. She often refers to her as "Melissa" instead of "mom" because she believes no one could ever replace her mom. Although it is never exactly stated in the text, Belle is a Sophomore in Highschool and her birthday is near Thanksgiving. 

Melissa Edwards: She married Belle Evan's unnamed father and is currently a widow to him. She has one son, Kacin (10) and a step-daughter, Belle Evans (15). She is a workaholic at the Hospital and she is the head pediatricin at Marcus West Hospital.

Kacin Edwards: He is 10 years old and is the child of Melissa Edwards and Belle Evan's unamed father. He is seen as a pain to Belle Evans, being her younger half-brother, but they have a brother-sister bond that is unbreakable. 

Zayn Malik: He is 16 years old and the baby of 4 older siblings. He has 3 older brothers and an older sister. Trisha Malik is his mother and he has a father but he's hardly ever around, since he works. His older siblings are either in College or living on their own. He is the head merger at his Uncle's company. He is a Junior in Highschol and his birthday is near Thanksgiving.

Harry Styles: Little is known about his family, except that he has an older sister in College and his mom divorced his father when he was 5 years old. He has been friends with Belle ever since they were very young and they are still best friends. His family is very wealthy because of their child support. Many kids used to make fun of him because they thought he was gay because he had never dated a girl until Danielle and his best friend was a girl. He is a Sophomore in Highschool and his birthday is in the fall.

Kayla Lawrence: Little is known about her in the past or even her family but she is a Sophomore in Highschool and her birthday is in the Winter. Belle described her as, "the sweetest girl with a little bit of sour in her." 

Finley Graham: She is Niall's girlfriend throughout the series. She turned 17 in May and is only a few months older than Niall. When first shown, she seems to be a sassy blond haired teenager that only wants what is best for Niall's friends. She cares about Belle the more she sees Heather and feels sorry for her. Her family consists of her, her dad, her mom, and her little sister, Cassie. 

Heather Jones: First seen at Zayn's New Year's Eve (Eve) party. The group dislikes her immediately and Louis makes fun of her for being all over Zayn. She was 17, almost 18 years old in that chapter.
