Maggie:
It was my 20th birthday, and I felt like I was leaving a part if me behind. I felt less innocent, and older now that I was no longer a teenager.
I'd never really lived my childhood, or my teen years either. I never had had too many relationships. I was sort of self conscious and reserved.
This was my attempt to change that. I had decided to move to Seattle, Washington. It had always been on my bucket list to visit, but I wanted an entire fresh start.
After all, I didn't have too many friends in the first place. The only thing I was leaving behind was my family.

The sun was shining brightly through the windshield of my car. I took my sunglasses from the glovebox and slipped them onto my face. Almost there. I had about a half an hour left of driving, and I could go meet my new roommates. My car had been stocked with plenty of food in a cooler, and about five or six garbage bags and boxes filled with my clothes and things.
As I neared closer and closer, I bagan to feel uneasy. Maybe I was making a huge mistake. Maybe I should just turn around and head back home.
No, I told myself. My home was In Seattle with Jen and Audrey.
The sun was slowly going down when I pulled into the driveway of a small, nice, tan bricked house. I hadn't gotten to the door and two girls were standing there to greet me.
One of them had long brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes and tan skin. She had little freckles a peppered her face and nose. She was certainly prettier than I was. She could have been a model for hollister. The other girl had even longer black hair, and she had a white bandana tired as a headband around her head. She was so beautiful too. She had colorful tattoos on her arms and legs, and she was wearing a pair of high waisted black sailor shorts with a cropped white off the shoulder sweater. Both of them seemed so elegant, clean and just overall perfect.
I was just this girl with brown hair, with blue in the front, blue eyes and a pair of shorts and a Pierce the Veil shirt. I looked so... Average.
"Hi there! You must be Maggie?" Said the black haired girl, as she outstretched her hand, perfectly manicured with black nail polish.
I shook her hand and let out a small laugh.
"That's me. You guys are Audrey..." I looked at them, the black haired girl laughed and waved. "That would be me." She said.
"And then you're Jen ?"
"You got it!" She said, flipping her golden brown hair to the side.
"Shall we get you all set up?" Audrey asked, heading to my car.
I popped the trunk and for the next little while we were unpacking boxes and putting them in my room. It was spacious, but not as spacious as the room Jen and Audrey were sharing. It looked like a huge dining room turned into a bedroom. It was covered in white christmas lights and canvases with pretty and abstract paintings.
We sat and got to know each other at dinner. It turned out that both girls liked alternative and post hardcore music, and they even showed me a few new bands to listen to like Get Scared. I showed them some of my punk collection and my favorite band Marianas Trench.
It got dark outside so we cleared the table, laughing and chatting, and we all went to work on setting up my room some more. It was beginning to take shape.
The girls hopped off to bed and I slid into mine, and drifted into a deep sleep.
The day had gone incredibly well, better than I had anticipated.
