Satanic Alex

As soon as Alex's head pops out from behind the wall, Remi fires the cannon and the projectile smacks her right in the face. I spot Kevin sneaking around the other side of the wall and fling more fudge straight at him.

The book Proper Stealth Tips when Attacked By A Cannon probably didn't see magical fudge wielding children coming.

Kevin sure didn't.

He also didn't see the hardened fudge ball (with a low level of voltage) that Remi hurled through the air until it smacked him in the face. I grinned and gave her a high five.

Since Kevin was lying quite sadly on the ground, covered in chocolate, Alex was the only formidable enemy left for us. Her eyes glowed a very light green, almost white, and the fudge on the floor slowly transformed.

Now might be the right time to go read another story of mines, if you haven't yet. (Fourth wall break count: 5). One about a certain little critter of a certain shade of yellow with a certain little love for orange creamsicles. I know that duck quite well.

And I cannot say that I like him very much.

But I can say that I very much hate having duplicates of the same brain-dead animal. Especially if said clones are made out of chocolate and fudge and are controlled by my very sadistic best friend.

As Remi, Kevin, and I stared, the balls of chocolate grew heads and fur. Then they grew...

Samurai swords?

"Bob," I whisper under my breath; even though Bob has never held a samurai sword between his opposable thumbs.

The wheels in my head spun in confusion.

Did I just get stabbed in the face with a chocolate sword?

Yes. Yes I did.

Fortunately, the samurai sword was weak. It did zero physical damage. Needless to say, Remi and I would've been perfectly capable of smashing our attackers...if there weren't a billion of them.

Soon, we're lying flat on the floor, 10 chocolate ducks on top of each of us. We stare at each other with chocolate-covered faces. We look back at Alex as the lighting suddenly, forebodingly, shifts to Alex.

I am not impressed.

Alex smirks in the spotlight and flicks her hand. " Give me a reason that I shouldn't end your miserable lives right now."

In response, I fling some chocolate ducks off of me and turn my deadpan face to her. It takes me a second to come up with a reason. "Because I owe you ten dollars?"

Alex furrows her brows. "Ah, crap. Wait, do you?"

No, I don't. I mean, of course I do! It's not like I'm the one who buys all 16 of your triple chocolate double caffeinated mochas whenever we go to Starbucks! (No, Alex, Starbucks does NOT sell condiment lattes.)

As Alex contemplates her life choices, as well as whether or not I actually owe her money, the light in her eyes fade and the ducks turn back into dirt. (Alex turned the dirt into chocolate, and the chocolate into chocolate ducks. Therefore, in order to regain her energy, the ducks turn back into dirt.)

The door also opens and everyone turns to the new recruits.

Blyke and Isen stare silently at the scene, quite obviously perplexed. "Tf."

Alex grins at them. Isen slowly turns around to leave and his friend follows his lead. "I'll leave you to it." (Cue Angelica's uncontrollable sobbing.)

Remi quickly sits up and winks at me. Kevin has also regained his bearings. "WAIT!"

Thank goodness that Remi is good friends with them. How else would we have gotten them to come back to the war scene? If they never came back, they never would have felt our pain! The pain of death by dirt turned chocolate. Said death was administered by Kevin, Alex, Remi, and me, all together.

That would've been quite the shame.

Alex was the most important though; she's the one who turned the dirt into chocolate as it was flying at them. Getting a fistful of dirt is not the same as a fistful of half hardened fudge.

Speechless, the duo turn back to us and do the only thing that makes sense: throwing more fistfuls of dirt at us. Thank goodness there is no more fudge. Only dirt.

Much more dirt.

I quickly dodge the dirt and scoop up a handful of my own. I'm about to chuck when Alex screams. "Pikachu! I CHOOSE YOU!"

Silence. Nobody knows how to respond to that. Well, Remi and I don't know. Blyke, Isen, and Kevin all take it as their cue to leave through their respective windows (just kidding. They took the door like normal human beings.)

I stand up and a few more seconds of silence, "Alright. I'mma leave too."

Alex waves me off, exhaustion clearly getting to her. "Yes Alyssa. Make like a tree and get out of here."

"Wha-"

I don't get to finish my sentence. Being shoved out of a door by your best friend kinda does that to you. A large thud is heard and I sigh. Fainting because of overuse AGAIN. She really needs to stop using her powers for the tiniest of things.

I'm about to go in and check on her, but snoring convinces me that she's fine.

Catching up to the redhead, the blondie, and the greenhead, I follow them stealthily.

It doesn't work very well.

It takes a beam nearly hitting my head for me to stop and just reveal my (very terribly) hidden self.

Grinning, I matched their pace and we talked a bit before splitting to our individual dorms.

Apparently Blyke and Isen were going to Remi's dorm to talk to her but heard screaming. Screaming, as you know, is not a very good sign. Therefore, they ran as fast as they could to her dorm...only to find a very chocolatey war.

Life is fun.
