Finally A Break...Not

Sighing, I step into my dorm and prepare to meet my roommate. She pops into view almost immediately. Her pink hair is tied into two pigtails and she stares at me with matching colored eyes. Suddenly she smiles shyly, "Are you Alyssa? My roommate?"

I nod my head, smiling back at her. "You're Evie then?"

I'm guessing she nodded, but flopping into a beanbag restricted my view. "Mph tired," I groaned into the fabric.

"Uh, I'm sorry. I didn't hear what you said," Evie fretted as I flipped over.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just tired."

Evie nodded quickly and sat down next to me. "Are you okay?"

"Perfectly fine, I just had a fight with my friends. It was exhausting," I replied.

Evie's eyes widened. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. Hopefully you guys work it out."

I should probably introduce myself better too. It would suck to have a roommate that you barely know....

Right after my nap.

I wake up to the door getting blown up by the one and only sadistic Angelica...aka Alex the psychopath. Refer to No, You May Not Eat Bob the Duck for more proof on Alex's insanity. I'd very much appreciate it if you went and read my other stories. (Fourth wall break count: 6)

Alex stomps on the flames and walks right past my terrified roommate. I'm doubtful I even managed to get an hour of sleep. Why couldn't you have stayed knocked out for longer Alex?

Why?

Looking up, I rub my head angrily and glare at le demonic best friend. She lifted up a letter (covered in dirt) and met my gaze. "WHAT. IS. THIS?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Dirt?" Alex squinted even more to the point where her eyeballs were barely visible. More demonic flames exploded from the ground and Evie screamed before running to hide behind me.

"Is this the friend you had a fight with?" she blanched.

I let out a puff of air, "Yes. Meet Alex. My best friend."

Alex flicked her hand. Chains sprouted from the ground and I gaped at her. "ThAt'S mY dOrM yOu'Re dEsTroYinG!"

Her narrowed eyes met mine and she held up the dirty letter again. "Care to explain why you're bothering me with your inconsequential blabbering?"

"ExCUSE me? I haven't seen you for the last hour. You're the one showing up at my dorm literally on FIRE. (hey that rhymes)," I seethed. Some quick advice; do not destroy your friends' homes. It makes them VERY angry. As you can see, I am very angry. Alex was very angry when a flying turtle flew through her ceiling (breaking it) and landed on her head.

Just like this owl just landed on my head. It flew right back out the window, leaving a very crisp, clean letter on my head.

Interested, Alex knelt next to me; thankfully putting the dorm back to normal. "Where did that come from? What is it?"

I was about to respond (with a large amount of sarcasm), but Alex was suddenly laying flat on her face. Evie pursed her lips and tried to put on a determined face. "I'm s-sorry, but could you p-please leave us a-alone?" The girl was literally shaking.

How cute.

Unfortunately, Alex did not think it was cute and would've whaled on the girl. I had to stop her. Thankfully, Alex normally likes to destroy her victims with words before physically destroying them. Hence the name, sadistic Angelica. She likes to show her dominance like a bird and stand ominously above them whilst laughing; as you can see in chapter 4 (fourth wall break count: 7)

So she gave me time to come up with a compromise. The trade: 5 cups of Extra Dark Espresso Double Caffeine in exchange for Evie's safety.

I gripped my best friend's shoulders. "Alex. I know we're best friends, but you CANNOT walk into my dorm and threaten to fatally injure my roommate."

"Yes I can. You think you can stop me?" Alex scoffed.

"I think the school can stop you," I laughed.

She grinned back at me, "Whatever. Just opened the damned letter. I wanna see who it's from."

"Alright, alright."

Suddenly, Alex gasped as we sat down next to a confused looking Evie. I look at her. "What if it's a love letter from Ryan?"

"Wrong story Alex." I deadpan and poor Evie looks even more perplexed. (Fourth wall break count: 8)

"Oh right."

I'm about to open the letter when I am interrupted yet AGAIN. "I thought you guys were fighting?" squeaks Evie.

Alex gave her a glare, clearly not over the fact that Evie very kindly introduced her face to the floor. "And what gave you that brilliant idea?"

Evie looked down. "Alyssa said you guys were fighting and I naturally assumed..."

"Well, don't assume. You know what they say-to assume is to make an a*s of u and me," Alex scoffed, quite rudely, making Evie flush as pink as her hair.

Ignoring her rude outburst, I realized that was probably why Alex blew the door up (she did fix it though.) The poor girl probably closed the door on Alex when she showed up on our doorstep covered in blue flames.

Alex does not like having doors shut in her face, it's happened to her much too often in the past. -Cue sad music and (nonexistent) depressing backstory------

Just kidding.

Needless to say, Evie was even more confused when we told her about the fudge war; featuring me, Alex, Remi, Kevin, Blyke, and Isen. Well, less told her than showed her. Despite her mean words, Alex took it upon herself to reenact the entirety of the chocolatey war along with personal side notes from her POV.

Of course, Evie was told that Remi, Kevin, Blyke, and Isen were merely side characters.

The main characters were obviously Alex and I. Alex was also the narrator for the musical.

Death by Little Chocolate Ducks: An Original American Musical

Evie does not looked relieved after all three hours of watching.

That's alright. The most pressing issue right now is not her lack of understanding. It's the very nice letter I received. The one that I have STILL not opened yet. Now I will.

I open it after thoroughly ripping the envelope because who really has the time to open it properly? Definitely not me.

Dear Alyssa,

A chocolate Bob the Duck just wandered in Alex's house (where I'm currently staying at) and she immediately decided that it was obviously something that only she would be dumb enough to do. Hence the letter that I'm sure your best friend just received.

We're sending him back. Well, at least what's left of him. Turned into dirt as soon as Bob took the first bite.

The intercepting universes in this story are killing me. How many fourth wall breaks are you at now? I've been trying to keep it at a minimum over here, but Alex seems pretty intent on demolishing the fourth wall completely.

Anyways.

Hope you guys are doing well wherever you are.

Sincerely,

Alyssa from Bob the Duck.
