-Ollie's POV-
Everything was relatively okay now between my Dad and Mandy. At least I think, anyway.
-Y/N's POV-
Nancy was telling Charlie, Oscar and I that we might have new girl coming to live with us. A foster child, like me. Her name was Brooke. I hadn't met her yet, but I bet she'd be really nice. I was up in my bedroom practicing the keyboard when I heard shouting coming from downstairs.
"So, are we a family of five now?!" asked Darren.
Did he not know about Brooke? I exited my bedroom and stood in the hallway, listening to the shouting.
"Social services are ringing me back," said Nancy bluntly, walking past Darren.
I assume this phone call would determine whether Brooke would be living with us?
"What about Charlie, doesn't he even matter? He doesn't even know what's happened to his mum!" Darren stated.
What did Brooke have to do with Charlie's mum?
"We will cross that bridge when we come to it!" Nancy whisper-shouted.
"Well, we're kind of at that bridge now, aren't we?" Darren asked.
"Nancy, we've got enough on our plates, okay? My dad's not getting any younger, we've got the restaurant to contend with. There's Oscar, there's Charlie, there's Y/N, there's your MS!" Darren shouted.
I heard the doorbell ring, and saw Charlie go to answer it.
"Are things getting a little bit difficult for you? Is that why you're not sure if you want to stick around?" Nancy shouted.
Wait. Darren wanted to leave?
"All I'm saying is that things aren't easy right now. Meanwhile, you want to take on a girl, with a condition that we know absolutely nothing about!" Darren shouted.
Charlie opened the door, and Brooke walked in, taking her earphones out. She was really pretty. She was quite tanned, with fluffy brown hair. she was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans.
"Well who else is going to look after her?!" Nancy yelled.
"I don't know! And right now, I don't care! Anyone but us!!!" Darren yelled. And Brooke heard. She stood there awkwardly, not sure of what to do.
"Dad. why don't you want Brooke here?" asked Charlie.
"It's because my mum killed your mum," Brooked said bluntly.
