Chapter 5

Autumn's POV

Nagising ako sa magkakasunod na katok sa pinto ng aking kwarto.

"Ma'am Autumn, pinatatawag na po kayo sa baba, kakain na daw po kayo", naririnig ko ang boses ni Manag Leticia.

Saka ko lang napansin na gabi na pala, I checked my phone at the table beside my bed and saw it's already 7:30 p.m. What!!!! 5 hours akong nakatulog. I immediately went inside the bathroom to wash my self and to change into something comfortable. Matapos iyon ay agad na akong tumuloy sa dining area, and there naabutan kong naroon na sina mom, dad, tito Fred, tita Celine and of course, Sky.

"Good evening mom, dad", bati ko sa kanila at saka bumaling kina tito at tita.

"Good evening Tito, Tita".

I didn't get any response. What's their problem.

I went to my seat, beside Sky's.

Nakapagtataka na ang pagiging tahimik nila.

"Care to explain, Autumn Rhamai?", napapitlag ako sa tanong na iyon ni dad.

"Explain what?", nakangiting tanong ko pabalik at nagsimula ng maglagay ng pagkain sa aking plato.

"Speak up young lady, bago pa ako tuluyang magalit sa inyo", isusubo ko na sana ang pagkain ng magsalitang muli si dad.

"What are you talking about?", naguguluhang tanong ko. I looked at Sky, baka sakaling alam niya itong mga nangyayari.

"They went to school to pay a visit A", tanging naisagot na lang ng pinsan ko na talaga namang nagpakalabog ng dibdib ko. Now I know why.

"It's nothing", I tried acting cool.

"Nothing? Dios mio Autumn, inirereklamo ka na't lahat lahat ganyan ka pa umasta", I didn't saw it coming.

"Look dad, masyado lang talaga silang OA, it was just a small cat fight, pinanalaki lang nila because of their personal hatred towards me", pilit kong pinalalakas ang loob ko, I can't break down in front of them, I just can't.

"You're not even thinking of our name, I can't believe you", dagdadg pa niya.

"Hon, don't be so harsh on her", pagsaway sa kaniya ni mom.

Napayuko na lang ako, unti unti nang namumuo ang luha sa aking mga mata.

"Kuya, I think we should hear them out first", kapagkuwan ay saad ni Tita Celine.

"That's it, that's the main reason why this kids are always confident when they are getting their self into trouble, they knew that you will hear them out and always side with them, kaya hindi na natuto", dad was so persistent.

"Tito, please let us explain first", pakiusap ni Sky. Ramdam na ramdam na ang tension sa buong hapag.

"What can you say about this Fred", tanong ni dad kay tito.

"I think we should try hearing them out, so we could know the both sides of the story", that was one thing I like about tito, he's always been neutral all the time.

"Fine, explain why did you do such a reckless thing Autumn", galit pa rin na saad ni dad.

Naiiyak na talaga ako, I think na kapag nagsalita ako ay hindi ko na mapipigilan pa ang mga luha kong  kanina pa nagbabadya.

"Da--d", yun pa lang ang nasasabi ko yet nag-unahan na sa pagtulo ang aking mga luha.

"Tito, I should explain what---.........",

"No, Sky, let her do it for her self", matigas na pahayag ni dad.

"I love Rence dad-hik, mula bata pa lang ako gusto ko na siya, akala ko mawawala ang nararamdaman ko-hik para sa kaniya once I grew up but I was wrong. I ended up  loving him more and more each passing day-hik", I said in between my sobs.

"That was stupid", nanggagalaiting saad sa akin ni dad na hinampas pa ang mesa.

I cried, well that's all that I can do. I know that dad won't listen.

"Luis, you stop it, she's our daughter", pagsabat ni mom.

"I know and sad to say that she is such a disgrace to this family, kaibigan natin ang mga Ibañez, how would they react when they found out na itong magaling mong anak ay gumawa ng kawalang-hiyaan sa anak nila, I should still thank the boy that he hasn't told his parents about this yet", those words hurts like hell. Ano daw?I am such a disgrace to this family.. Funny.

"Hahaha, funny dad", hindi ko na napigilan ang maisantinig iyon.

"Iha, tama na", pagpigil sa akin ni Tita Celine but I just ignore her.

"Kasalanan ko pa ngayon, fine, what I did may be reckless but I didn't care at all, hindi ko iyon pinagsisisihan", I just feel like expressing what I feel.

"A, calm down", it's Sky whose stopping me this time.

"You didn't even care if our reputation will get ruin, great, just great at may gana ka pang sumagot", kung kanina ay galit na siya, now, he's beyond mad already.

"Idagdag pa na palagi mong idinadamay ang pinsan mo sa mga kalokohan mo, ano na lang ang sasabihin ng mga tao?", dagdag pa niya.

"Cause Sky cares for me", sagot ko.

"Honey, don't talk like that to your dad", mom said na mayroong disgusto sa boses.

"Excuse me then", yeah, mas tama ang umalis na lang bago pa lumalala ang sagutan namin.

"You prepare yourself then, be ready to receive your punishment", hindi ako makapaniwala na magagawa ito sa akin ni dad.

"You won't do that", tinatakot lang niya ako, alam ko iyon.

"I can and I will", determinadong pahayag nito.

"Kuya galit ka lamang, don't let it made you do a reckless decision", nag-aalalang saad ni Tito

"Tito, Aut-....",

"Stop defending your cousin Skyler, hindi iyan matuto kung patuloy mo iyang ipapamper", pigil ni dad kay Sky.

"Punish me then dad, if that will make you happy, then punish me, curse me too for I almost drag your name to the mud, curse me for I was a disgrace to you", damn tears just won't stop from falling.

"You will leave this country, ipagpapatuloy mo na ang iyong pag-aaral sa America, and you are not allowed to see your cousin nor set your feet in this country hangga't hindi mo natatapos ang pag-aaral mo doon, disappoint me once again and I will not even think twice of disinheriting you Autumn", iyon lang at tuluyan na niyang nilisan ang hapag.

I was left there, doon na ako napahagulhol, Sky hugged me tight.

"Hush down A, I won't let that happen, trust me", walang tigil siya sa kahahagod sa likod ko.

"Kakausapin namin ang kapatid ko", pahayag ni Tita Celine na inaalalayan na din si mom who's also crying nonstop just like me. Tito Fred assist her and they exited the dining area together.

"Be strong A, tomorrow everything will be alright", inalalayan na din niya akong tumayo.

"I know that it won't be, so stop it already", I said hopelessly.
