Chapter 16

Autumn's POV

Isang buwan ang mabilis na lumipas...........

"So what are your plans?", dad asked while were having our breakfast.

"I'll come back to California when I finished my vacation, I have a lot of works left there", I replied.

"Why? Ayaw mo bang magstay na lang dito like what you've always wanted?", it's Sky.

I looked at him.

"Marami akong gawaing naiwan doon, besides I'm not the only deciding here", I said and continued eating.

"Luis, can we stop talking about business now, ngayon lang natin ulit makakasama ang mga bata, let us set aside business matters first", it's mom.

"Okay honey", magiliw na sagot ni dad.

"By the way, where's Tito and Tita", pagbabago ko ng topic.

"Susunod na sila sa amin, they just have to finish some important things", mom answered me.

"Anong plano mo A?", tanong muli ng pinsan. Ano to paulit-ulit lang? I just stared at him with disbelief.

"I already told you", walang ganang sagot ko.

"That's not what I'm pertaining to", he said and now he's the one who's looking at me with disbelief.

"What are you talking about?",

"Birthday mo na sa makalawa hindi ba, what are your plans", sagot niya at nagpatuloy lang sa pagkain.

Oh right! Birthday ko na! Funny pero hindi ko agad naalala, paano ba naman eh for give years mag-isa ko lang itong isinicelebrate. I get used to just let it pass just like an ordinary day.

"I have no plans", well it's something I never celebrated for the past five years of my shitty life!

"We will throw you a party, isasabay na ang welcome home party mo", dad suggested, para bang wala lang sa kaniya ang ginawa niya sa akin, to even mention a welcome party, it's as if he's saying I left as for my choice.

"That's a great idea honey, I'm pretty sure she'll love it", excited na pagsang-ayon ni mom.

"Kayong bahala", maikling tugon ko while wiping my mouth.

"You choose the theme you like, your visitors, ikaw ang masusunod", he continued talking, I just rolled my eyes, really what I want matters to him!

"Look, throw a party if you want for all I care, I don't care kung sino pa ang imbitahin ninyo, I'm not interested anyway kayo pa rin naman ang masusunod so why would I even bother", I can't help it, he's acting just cool and it irritates me.

"A"

"Autumn", saway sa akin ni mom at ni Sky.

"I'm just stating things as a matter of fact, what's wrong with it", they just stared at me with pleading eyes.

"Look, if you guys have nothing else left to say, mauna na ako", walang lingong umalis ako sa hapag, I went straight to my room.

I have no where to go just like yesterday but I don't wanna stay home, that's why kahit wala naman akong maisip na puntahan ay napagpasyahan kong lumbas na lang.

Wearing a yellow halter top, ripped jeans partnered with my silver cut out heels I exited the house.

I drove off hanggang sa makarating ako sa isang parke. Well I'd rather stay here than in our house.

I sit on one of the benches there. I watch how beautiful the scenery is. For a moment I felt relaxed. This is just perfectly what I needed.

I was in the middle of daydreaming when my phone rings. I checked the caller's I.D and saw that it was my cousin. I didn't answer the call, minutes later it rings again, naririndi na ako sa mga tawag at text messages niya that's why I shut my phone down. I needed a time alone, to think maybe.

Hindi ko namalayan na igunugol ko na pala ang maghapon katatabay doon. Hindi rin naman ako nakaramdam ng gutom, funny. I just let my mind float. I need to check the time, it's when I've decided to open my phone, and to my surprise it was bombarded with so many calls and text messages from my mom, cousin and wait...... There's a unknown number. I open the message hurriedly.....

From: Unknown

Where are you Autumn, we are so dead worried about you, plead come back.

Autumn, I've been looking for you anywhere, where are you??

Why aren't you picking up your damn phone????

Please don't do something na ikapapahamak mo, I'm really worried......

Baby, please don't scared me like this!

Baby??!! What the f!!?

I checked previous conversation with the unknown number but I saw nothing, who could it be? I wonder...

I replied to my cousin saying that I am fine, and I'll be coming home.

I don't know kung bakit masyadong big deal sa kanila ang pag-alis ko, it's not as if I'm not coming back right! Ni hindi nga ako nagdala ng kahit na ano, except my pouch, oh well, I knew it, they think I'll do something stupid. I sighed. That's how they saw me, someone who do reckless and stupid things that may damage their name and reputation!..... I almost laugh at the thought, what do I expect?!

It's already 7:00 in the evening, I still don't wanna go home. I was in the middle of the street driving to nowhere. Ititigil ko sana sa tabi ng kalsada ang kotse ko ng mapansin ko isang pamilyar na lugar. Maliwanag, at may malalakas na tugtugin. Mystique! Yeah right, I need a drink, I need to drown my self in alcohol para kahit sandali ay makalimutan ko how fucked up my life is.

Funny! Cause I have everything I needed and want. I get anything in just a snap of a finger. But I can't get the love and care I've been longing for. Ever since then, it's just my cousin who was there for me. My parents? They say they are doing everything for me, for us. They support me financially but not emotionally, kaya nga siguro naging napakadali lang para kay dad ang ipatapon sa California! Napangiti ako ng mapait. Kung tutuusin eh hindi ko naman kailangan ang kayaman nila eh, they are just what I exactly needed. Presence lang nila, sobra sobra na.

I stepped out of my car and walk straight the bar.

I sat on the high chair in the counter.

"Kuya, Margarita please", tawag ko sa bartender. Mabilis naman nitong dinaluhan ang order ko.

I drink several shots and I lost count. Nakaramdam na lang ako bigla ng hilo ng tangkain kong tumayo.

"Kuya, give me more please", tawag kong muli sa bartender.

"Thank you", akmang iinumin ko na ang alak na kaabot lang ng bartender ng may pumigil sa akin.

"Stop it, lasing ka na", sabi ng baritonong boses, medyo blurred na ang paningin ko but I know that it was my cousin. Well, siya lang naman lagi ang nandiyan para sa akin eh!

"Ano na Sky, hanggang ngayon ba naman ay pipigilan mo pa rin ako, look I was having fun", sagot ko rito. Tatayo sana ako para magpantay kami ngunit agad akong natumba. I expect my body to land on the hard surface of the floor but it didn't came, instead a pair of muscular arms caught me.

"Be careful", he whisper in my ears, nanindig naman ang mga balahibo ko ng dahil doon. It's not my cousin, he's not Sky....

Tatayo sana akong muli ngunit hindi ko na talaga kaya. Umikot na lang tuluyan ang paningin ko, and the next thing I knew, everything went black and I am now at the arms of a total stranger..............
