Without further ado, here are the winners for Random:
1st Place:
"Air born" by juniormint94
Score: 92/100
Review: A really good book cover and blurb. The title is creative and makes sense with the plot. The plot has kept me super interested, and I want to read more. The language and grammar are both very good. I have seen some stories similar to this, but I really like the creativity in this story. I love the writing style of this book, it flows beautifully and I can understand everything. The author has gone well enough into detail of the main character, Orion could have used a little bit more though. no known message yet, but the story is still very interactive.
2nd Place:
"Bring Her Home" by NotesAndTeacups
Score: 82.5/100
Review: The cover is amazing, it definitely attracts the eye, although whilst the summary does give you a feel about the book, if altered a bit, it could be better and attract more readers. The beginning is a little bit confusing, although if that was intentional, then it worked well. The POV switch between Nura and Katia is done well and makes things interesting. You get pulled in and start to get curious, wanting to know what will happen to the characters.
3rd Places (a tie):
"Land of Lines" by silentsyllable
Score: 81.5/100
Review: The cover isn't bad, and the summary is pretty good too, but maybe just a tip: the last phrase that starts with ''A journey'' might be better if you set it apart from the text before, as a new paragraph? The chapter-length was irregular, but it doesn't bother much (e.g. one chapter was 3 pages and the next was 25 in the mobile version). Other than that, the use of language is really good, and the words are well chosen.
''Everything Falls Here'' by quiet_undone
Score: 81.5/100
Review: The writing style is amazing. I found myself laughing at some lines, and feeling with the character at the same time too. You can see the effort and work you put into it, as well as the improvements you've brought to it. There are some little parts where there's a break in the text, if that makes sense, but it's not anything major that disrupts the flow. The trope used isn't new, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, you gave it life with your own characters and their backstories.
Runners-up:
4. ''Life After Death'' by TessaWritesAt3AM
Score: 78.5/100
Review: This doesn't feel like it belongs in Random, might belong more in Teen Fiction, Mystery or Paranormal. The book is based on an interesting idea, -switched after death- into someone else's body. The book isn't completed yet, there's more to come. There are some linguistic mistakes that kind of bothered the flow at some points, but I think if someone read it over with you, or if you edited it before posting if you don't already, you can spot some and fix them. The reader can easily get pulled into this story: I could feel the emotions you were trying to convey like suspense and anxiety since the beginning.
5. ''In a Heartbeat'' by TheAwesomeAliyahScore: 78/100
Review: The first paragraph of this story is beautifully written, it truly captivates the reader. Generally, the author's writing style is very good. However, some scenes were slow-moving, and there are points where too much information (e.g characters introduced or plot-wise) is provided all at once, which could confuse the reader.
6. ''End of the Tunnel (Oneshots)'' by HaniaAdil12
Score: 78/100
Review: The book is based on a good idea, describing daily struggles one might face. The summary does state that, but you worked on it a bit more, it could be more enticing in order to attract a reader's mind and heart. You deal with different subjects, some that are very relatable, so it was interesting to read. And delve into the character's mind.
