Without further ado, here are the winners for Science Fiction:

1st Place:

"In the Shadow of the Lily" by berkentinabelt
Total: 91/100

Review: The cover did not seem that eye-catching but the blurb really drew me in. It was very intriguing and well-written. The author has great writing and descriptive skills. There was no error spotted throughout my reading. As for the story, the plot development is very good. It progressed very well and managed to hook me to the story. The description of the setting made it look like being in a new world and environment. It brought the scenes alive. It is an excellent story!

2nd Place:

"The Imperium Project" by _winters_oddball
Total: 89/100

Review: I did not extract much information from the blurb so it did not capture my interest that much. But the title was interesting. The story does not have dense writing and big descriptive paragraphs in comparison to other stories but the small lines or words perfectly narrate the story. The author has a unique writing style which seems very nice when reading. Though from the first few chapters, I don't see much of the genre or characters, the author is able to hook the readers and make them continue reading. There are no errors in the use of language and the author has good descriptive skills. The plot development is quite creative and flows well. Great work!

3rd Place:

"Fate's game" by annoxy24
Total: 89/100

Review: I simply loved it! Lovely writing style with amiable characters! Real talent you've got there, so keep writing!

Runners-up:

4. "Second Self" by LimbicNoodle
Total: 88/100

Review: Firstly, I'd say that the cover looks a bit plain in my opinion. It is not one that can attract my attention that much. The title is intriguing and the blurb is short but enough to hook the reader. When I started reading, I couldn't understand how it was science fiction. I thought it was paranormal. But the author skillfully revealed pieces of information little by little through the chapters. Some of the chapters were quite lengthy but engaging enough. As for the author's writing skills, they are flawless, no errors spotted. Though I need to mention I did see some spacing problems as dialogues were broken apart into a different line. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable read.

5. "806083: Insurrection" by SadieECover
Total: 87/100

Review: The cover is a bit too dark to attract the readers' attention quite well but it carries the mysterious vibe of the title and blurb. Some of the chapters are quite lengthy but engaging. The story has a very interesting plot. I like how the author has set the system of that time with issues that are important even now. Apart from that, I noticed a few punctuation errors and spacing problems. And sometimes, there would be exposure to too many characters to be able to take them all in. But overall, it was a great read!

6. "GreenBlood ANIMUS" by monster-withnoname
Total: 86/100

Review: The title of the story seems intriguing and attracts readers' attention. The plot is quite interesting and engaging. At first, the lack of dialogues made it passive and monotonous, but this problem was cleared after. As for the writing style, I would say it's good. The writer possesses good diction related to the genre and has good descriptive skills. However, I would suggest overall editing. Many little mistakes were spotted like the lack of capitalisation, unnecessary capitalisation in other places, wrong usage of punctuations, lack of punctuation, grammatical errors and changes in verb tense from past to present. They are small errors but repeated too often which can hinder the reading. But aside, it was a good read!

7. "Rise of the Earth's aboriginals" by ThejTThomas
Total: 86/100

Review: Overall, it was a great story with wonderful intrigue and characters, although I saw it more as fantasy than Science fiction.

8. "Project Phoenix" by AddieElise03
Total: 86/100
Review: Excellent writing skills, with characters and plot not being something you see every day. Maybe just consider making the moral clearer though.

9. "The Elimination" by angiee019_
Total: 84/100
Review: Awesome sentence structures! A variety of vocabulary too! You could maybe improve your story by erasing the impression that the readers have read it before. (Don't worry. Just an impression though)

10. "Remala" by TacitusKadari
Total: 83/100

Review: The cover and title seem a bit plain honestly, not the type that can attract readers at first sight. But the blurb is okay. And the story is nice, with good development and flow of the plot. I liked the interaction between the siblings especially. They make the story look engaging and active. The author has good writing skills and the descriptions are great. But some mistakes to point out are punctuation errors, unnecessary capitalization and commas in several places and a few spacing problems. Otherwise, it was a nice read.
