For the rest of the afternoon into the evening, we lazed around, kissing and cuddling whilst watching films, but Monday brought another school day.
The rumour that Doctor Cherry was going out with a student was still prominent in the sixth form society, especially how that student was rumoured to be Max, Jenna's BFF. Curious, me and Matthew swaggered over to Jenna's painting table, where she was sat creating a picture of some blue haired anime character with acrylics.
"Hey Jenna," Matthew said in a hushed tone. "Can we ask you something." I felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck at the sound of his voice, but now was not the time.
"Yeah go for it, anything for you," she replied. Matthew laughed nervously.
"So what's with the rumour about Max and Doctor Cherry, we noticed she's been helping him a lot after school,"
As soon as we asked this question we could see the light in her eyes glow. Even though Max was her best friend, Jenna thrived off of any gossip she could sink her teeth into.
"Well I wouldn't wanna say either way...but you never know what goes on after class..." she whispered as she placed her hand over Matthew's which was already lying on the desk.
Quickly I swatted her hand away "um what are you doing Jenna?" I asked.
Matthew brushed his thumb over my lips and pinched my chin "don't get jealous babe" he giggled.
"So what's going on with you two then... are you really it?" Jenna continued.
"Yeah.. we are, so hands off." I replied hastily.
"Okay hun, don't get your knickers in a twist," laughed Jenna, as we walked away.
