I couldn't understand. Why would he just stand there...and take it like that? I wondered if I was rly worth all that much to him.
"Look Reece...ah...stop." Matthew said whilst biting his lip again and again.
"You seem like you're enjoying it though..."
"I said stop okay." And with that he pushed Reece away and covered himself up. "I'm with someone okay?"
"Like who?" Reece Laughed. "Ben?"
It was silent.
"Oh my god. No way. You two are seriously together?"
"And what?" He said.
I didn't know what to think, I needed to leave, right now. I ripped back the shower curtain, and in tears ran out of the bathroom, through the door and down the stairs. I didn't even stop to look at the two of them.
"Ben-" I heard from the top of the stairs. It was Matthew. I felt a tug at my shoulder.
"Ben wait - I didn't want any of that I promise." Matthew yelled at me, tears also brimming at the edges of his eyes. Never before had I seen him show so much emotion, I contemplated his voice and wondered if this would be genuine, if we could carry on like before.
"Really? Because it looked like you did. How do I know you even care about me when you can do things like that!?" I snapped back.
By now a few people had noticed the two of us were arguing. A small group had stopped taking shots and were staring right at us.
"Can we not do this here...please" Matthew said a little quieter.
"How do I know that you're sorry? That you're really sorry? And that you only want me."
"Ben please...I do...I really do."
The majority of the party had stopped and was staring at this point. Max and Jenna has noticed too, they turned down the music and stood watching like the rest of them.
Matthew looked deep into my eyes, tears now running down his face too.
"Are you two like...?" Asked Leo, his expression hesitant and awkward with flickering eyes.
"Ben I-" and with that he kissed me.
