Chapter 44

Rex pov

I open my quarters door. I see ahsoka laying down on the bed. She smiled at me. "Ahsoka whats up with the tears?" I asked closing the door. "Oh just um anakin accidentally poked me in the eye" she said.

I mentally role my eyes. She could at least try with an excuse. "Oh ok, are you ok?" I asked sitting down next to her. She nodded. "So want to know something strange?" I asked.

She nods. "Fives broke his blaster" I said. I take her hand in mine. I start tracing circles on it. "Why is that strange?" She asked. "Cause why was he using his blaster recently" I said. I decided I'm going to drop hints.

"Maybe target practice?" She said. "But the strange thing is, I went to the place we get our blasters fixed. And he wasn't there" I said  looking at her. How is she not noticing my lies yet. She has a small worried look on her face. You wouldn't have been able to tell it was there if you didn't know her well.

"Oh maybe he left before you got there?" She asked. I shake my head. "He never went to the mess, and he never misses a meal" I said. "Um maybe he ate before" she said. "Maybe" I said.

"Ahsoka can I ask you a question?" I asked. She nods. "Sure" she said. "Would you.... would you ever cheat on me?" I stuttered out. I won't tell her I know, just gonna do some big hints.

She looks at me sadly. "Rex I would never cheat on you. I love you and only you" she said cuddling up to me. Hugging my waist and resting her head on my chest. "Why would you even ask me that?" She asked.

"Just wanted to know" I said sadly. "You are a strange man rex" she said laughing. "Yeah" I said sadly. "So you wanna know something else I noticed" I asked. She hums in reply.

"I have noticed Devris is missing. I was walking around the temple earlier, I didn't see him at all like I usually do." I said hinting I was in the temple. She freezes. "Oh I'm sure it's nothing" she said stuttering slightly.

Wait did she react to Devris or me being in the temple. Let's see if I can find out. "So how was training?" I asked. "Um lets watch a movie!" She said dropping my hand and getting the remote. I mentally roll my eyes.

She turns on a movie and cuddles up to me. I wrap an arm around her. "So what did you do today?" She asked. "Well I woke up from a coma. I tried to kiss my fiancé. She ran off. Wouldn't let me kiss her after. She fell asleep. She then ran off at one. I ate lunch. I wandered around the temple. Now I'm here, how bout you?" I asked.

"Um I woke up. Went to your quarters to get a hoodie. Went to the hospital place. I sat with you for a while. You woke up. We went to your quarters. We kissed, I realized I forgot something. I went to go get it. I realized I didn't forget anything. I went to sleep. I had to go to extra training. And now I'm here!" She said. I nod.

"What time is it?" She asked. I turn on my comm. shit the tracker app was still open. "What's that?" She asked. I quickly exit and go to the time area. "Nothing" I lied. She looked at me skeptically.

"It's 2:30" I said before she could say anything. "I'm gonna go get some lunch, you wanna come?" She asked standing up. "I'm good" I said. She nods and walks out. Once the door closes I get up. I punch the wall.

She was definitely cheating on me.
