Chapter 37

Third person pov

Rexs face freezes. He lets out a small gasp of pain. His face goes really pale and his eyes close. "Rex!" Ahsoka screamed with her voice breaking. Dooku throws Rex at her. Knocking her into a wall with Rex on her lap. She checks his palse. Small but there. She gives anakin a Look telling him everything he needed to know.

"Ahsoka get him out of here, I will meet you at coursant, tell one of the ships to stay here!" He ordered. She didn't need to be told twice. Rex starts letting out raspy gasps for air. "Hang in there Rex" she whispered as she ran through the halls, using the force to help carry Rex. His helmet floating behind her as she ran.

Anakin turns around back to face Dooku just in time. Their lightsabers meet with all their force.

Ahsoka pov

I get into the ship. "Order the other ship to stay" I said. Hawk nods and comms the other ship. "Hawk fly now! Rex is injured bad!" I ordered. He nods and we lift off.

Kix takes Rex out of my hands. He places him on the floor. I look to the right to see dup leaning against the wall sitting, his leg out in front of him. His leg had been shot.

Fives places his gloved hand on my shoulder. "Rex is a fighter, he will make it" he said. I fight back tears.

Kix starts removing rexs armor on his stomach. The lightsaber whole there. Rex lets out anoyther raspy breath, I hold back more tears. Kix gets a cloth and starts applying pressure.

"Faster hawk!" I yelled my voice breaking a little. I get my comm. "Obiwan I need a stretcher ready for when we get back. Rex got injured and it's bad!" I said scared. "What kind of injury?" He asked. I choke back more tears.

"Lightsaber to the stomach" I choked out. "Soka you know he won't surv" he started but I interrupted him. "I don't care, we have to try! I can't loose him Obiwan. Just make sure they all are ready!" I said mad and hung up. My breathing starts picking up as I see rexs chest rising and falling less. I could sense the fear from my men.

This was their captain and brother. And they all know I will become a living hell if he died. "Commander he isn't going to make it" kix said. I feel another tear fall. "I don't care kix! We are going to try!" I said choking back more tears. I feel the ship land. I open the doors and kix runs Rex over to the stretcher bed. I hop off the ship and follow them. I follow them all the way to surgery doors. I droid stops me from following. I fight a little but soon give up. Kix follows them past the doors. He was allowed to operate in Rex.

(The reason kix never goes and helps when ahsoka is in critical danger is because he isn't allowed to operate on a Jedi, he isn't advanced enough. But he is studying to change that)

I walk over to a chair and sit on it. The 501st members on that ship soon start to fill the room. I feel tears start to fall. I see that fives and dogma were sitting on either side of me. Dup limps over to a doctor and they lead him away, to help his foot.

I put my head in my hands as more tears fall. "He will make it Commander" dogma said trying to reassure me. I nod my head. If I show that I believe, my men will believe. If i show any doubt my men will lose faith.

"This must be how Rex feels everytime I'm in there" I said. "What do you mean?" Snipper asked.

"I've been in near bye death experiences twice when dating Rex. First time i was captured and tortured by Dooku. I faked my death to go on A under cover mission. I nearly died but the council had me Pretend to be dead for a week. Second time I got shot in the chest and was in a coma for a week" I said.

"I hate sid" fives growled. "Who's sid?" Bomber askwd. "This slut. Liked Rex a lot. Kissed him and hit on him a lot, one time she knocked me unconscious in an ally from jealousy. But anyways, she watched me get shot. She watched while I struggled to kill the droids surrounding me before I was shot. She tried stuff on Rex while I was in a coma" I said.
