Danny Wood: Love of a Lifetime.

The Proposal

Danny had to figure out when he could set this proposal up with out arousing any suspicions from Amy. He now knew how he wanted it to go but, actually doing it was a totally different story. Amy was sitting at her desk doing some work when Danny came in the room. "Hey beautiful, I need to run out for a few minutes to get some things then go to a meeting with Jared. Do you need anything while, I'm out? Danny asked her as he kissed her on top of her head."Hmmm... I don't know babe let me think yeah we might need a few things.... "Amy said thinking. She told him what they needed and he wrote them down. "Alright I will be back in a little bit...I love you." Danny said giving her a sweet kiss."Love you too, handsome...see  you when you get back." Amy said as she watched him leave. He left to go get the things he needed to get and the things she wanted him to get so that she didn't catch on to what he was up to. He got his things and  did what he needed to do. Now all he had to do was go to the beach and get the surprise all  ready. he needed some assistance though so he enlisted the help of His kids and they came to help him. Then he made the necessary phone calls that he needed to make to the proper people. He called rental places and he made a very special call to a person that was gonna be a huge part of the surprise. Danny went to the beach behind the house...and began to set things up. He sat up a dance floor and a table and put the table on the dance floor so that it wouldn't be to unsteady in the sand. Then he got out all the candles and got them set up. He had lights and  the rose petals.... there was a microphone set up on a small makeshift stage. He got the wine chilling in the ice and he had the works. Now all he needed to do was confirm the special guest and see what time he could do all of this and also to get Amy here without her knowing to much. He was gonna wear a nice suit  also. He would try to tell her he wanted to go someplace nice for a date night....but with her dressing up she might suspect something. Man that was the part that was getting him the most. He had to think of something. After he got it all set up he went back to the house with the stuff Amy had asked him to get. He put it away and went back into the office where she was."Hey babe, I was thinking  maybe if you wanted to, we could go out to a fancy dinner tonight and dancing to celebrate our 6 month Anniversary of being together. Just you and me and wine and dance, and dinner.then maybe we can come back here after all of that and get cozy in the bedroom for a few hours." Danny said wiggling his eyebrows."Amy laughed.'You are so horny all the time." "I know I'm sorry I can't help it you get me that way.You don't even have to try hard." Danny confessed feeling himself suddenly getting a boner. "Anyway what do you say to that." Danny said as he kneeled in front of her while she was on the laptop.Amy smiled and kissed him." Danny smiled and picked her up... he took all the stuff of the desk and laid her on the desk and began to kiss her and undress her and himself. And he took her over and over on the desk...till he lay there spent. he caught his breath and said." I gotta save some of that for later...cause I need some energy to keep up with your hot ass." Then he got up and got dressed as did Amy... and they went back to doing what they were doing before...Amy went to her work and Danny went to go get dinner ready for the kids for later since it was his turn to cook. he was excited about  the proposal.he hoped it would go off without a hitch. He also hoped she would make him the happiest man in the world and say yes. After a few hours Danny and Amy took a shower and began to get ready for their date night. Danny got dressed in a charcoal gray suit and a black tie...and his dress shoes. He sprayed himself with Amy's favorite cologne and then he went down to wait for her. Amy was in the bathroom getting ready... She put on a burgundy sleeveless knee length satin dress and a pair of black high heels  she did her hair in curls and did her make up. She wanted to look really good for him and she didn't get to dress like this often so she was taking advantage of it. Come to think of it she didnt' think Danny had seen her THIS dressed up before. She put perfume on and was finishing with Jewelry. Danny was downstairs looking at his watch. "Babe come on, I don't want to be late." he hollared up the stairs. "Ok, I'm coming. "She said heading downstairs... he was hoping that the candles got lit by those who were helping him and  he texted really fast to let them know they were on their way and  they needed to make sure everything was perfect for that big moment. Once Amy came down Danny watched her walk down the stairs and drew in a breath. "WOW, babe you look so amazing and beautiful....I..wow.... I am a little speechless." Amy smiled. :You look pretty sexy yourself." The he offered her his arm and she took it. "Oh I forgot to tell you that you have to put this on." And gave her a blindfold."What, how come?" She asked."Because babe there are  a few surprises I don't want you to see till you get there." Danny told her. So she put it on and let him lead her to where they were going. It was within walking distance so they walked there  she was wondering what he was up to. He lead her to a table and pulled the chair out and sat her down. he finally took the blindfold off. She looked around and her  mouth dropped she couldn't believe how beautiful it all was.'Danny, Oh wow it's so gorgeous, you did this for me...for us? "Amy asked in awe." Yes baby I did...and now I want us to have some wine cause I know you don't like champagne. And we are gonna have a nice dinner and some dancing."Danny told her as he poured her some wine and then himself." he had his daughters bring out the food...which consisted of  chicken Parmasean and vegetables and  baked potatoes. They sat and began to eat. Danny couldn't keep his eyes off her and kept on staring at her." What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Amy asked a little shyly."Because  you are so beautiful and I love you and I feel like a lucky guy to have met you, especially after all the shit Patti put me through.And now here you are and I have a chance to be happy and I honestly wish I would have met you first. Cause then I could have gotten it right the first time. You have really changed my life and made me better in so many ways. You moved your whole life to come be with me. And if this is a dream I don't want anyone to pinch me and wake me up."  Danny  loved how her blue eyes sparkled in the candle light as the sun was starting to go down. Amy and Danny got into a conversation and then it was time.They finished eating and let their food settled then Danny asked Amy if she wanted to dance. Amy took his hand and then out of No where. Jason Deurullo came out and began to sing a couple of his songs. Amy thought she was seeing things then quickly realized she wasn't. Danny smiled as he danced with her. She put her head against his chest and danced slowly. Danny looked at Amy again."You are the best thing that has ever happened to me besides my kids and my career...and you are everything I ever dreamed of. So there is something I would like to know and this next song by Jason will tell you what I want to know. Jason began to sing his song." Will you Marry me"  AS Amy and Danny danced.Amy listened to the words then when he got to the part where he says will you marry me, Danny spun Amy around then got down on one knee, and pulled the ring from his pocket and opened the box. Jason continued to sing. Amy couldn't believe this was all happening. She began to shake and cry. Jason sang the song lightly in the back ground As Danny began to speak.Danny head a tear run down his cheek and a smile on his face." Baby, you mean so much to me, we have talked about the good the bad and the ugly with me and with you and each of us are still here we didn't run away from it. I know we have a strong bond and I know we can get through anything. I know now that I am not a fading star, and you don't mind my scars, you love me for who I am not my fame and fortune.... you are so genuine and kind, and loving, you care so much about people and are always putting other's before yourself. You take care of me just like my song. Endlessly says. And just like My mom would have wanted. I will never make the mistake of taking you for granted like I did my first marriage. I love you and I want us to spend forever together. So Amy Michele Martin as the song is asking..Will you please marry me?" Amy was crying and tears were streaming down her cheeks and she was looking into his eyes,"Yes Daniel William Wood, I will marry you."  Danny smiled and picked her up and twirled her around...he had tears of joy flowing down his face now as well. He kissed her as he brought her back down to her feet...and he took the ring and placed it on her finger. It was a perfect fit. She stared at it for along time. After wards they danced some more and then had dessert. Jason had to leave and he told Danny and Amy congratulations and he was glad he could be part of the surprise. Danny shook his hand and he hugged Amy and told her to take care of Danny. She promised she would. Once he left, Danny and Amy took a walk along the beach hand in hand. After a bit Danny turned to Amy and kissed her. he couldn't get enough of her."You know what I have always wanted to do but surprisingly never have yet? he asked her."No what baby? Amy asked. " I have never made love on the beach and I would love for us to do that." Danny said leading her to a spot that had rose petals and candles and there was a nice blanket on the sand."So uh, what do you say... you want to have sex on the beach?"He asked smiling at his joke. Amy grinned and began to loosen up his tie." OH baby, I want you over and over again on this beach till we are sore." A few hours past and they woke up and cleaned the beach up and went back home... Now they could get to the next chapter of their lives together.... them becoming  husband and wife... till death do us part. They got home and went straight to bed and promised to talk to their family in the morning.
